3 Friends arrived and Shelly made sure we felt welcome. The house was impeccably clean and just perfect. The back screen porch was amazing and our go to almost all of the time. The location was wonderful and we had a great time exploring Kennebunk and all of its beautiful gardens around town. She had lots of information to help with making plans. Great get away.

We loved our stay here. Shelly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Lots to do within walking distance, including great restaurants. The beaches and port are a quick drive away.

We have always spent a week in Maine and stayed in Kennebunkport. We found this Vrbo and we’re drawn by the cleanliness rating (we rented a place on the ocean several years ago and it was so very unclean this is now my main requirement). The house is immaculate, but also high quality finishes in decor and other touches. We lacked for nothing! The location is in the heart of downtown Kennebunk, behind a fun bowling alley/Gastropub. Plenty of breakfast and coffee spots, and Shelly provided a parking pass for nearby beaches. Even if the house were just okay, we’d have plenty to do. But the house was adorable. When we had a rain day, we played backgammon and cooked and truly felt like we were home (if my home were cute and uncluttered!) I cannot say enough about how perfect this house was for my husband, me, and our two adult sons. Shelly is attentive to every detail, we did not need her at all, but when I did message she responded immediately.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The tidy home has quick access to anything of interest in the area - downtown Kennebunkport is a quick 7-10 minutes away as well as all of the things to do outside of that area (ie; local beaches etc). The home was a great size for our family of four with two teenagers - there is a nice size living room to hang out in plus an enclosed porch with ample seating to hang out. The bathroom has a very roomy walk-in shower, with a great ledge to put all of your overnight bags etc. It is very well set up for a short term stay allowing you to keep an organized and calming environment. There is a great kitchen set up with an amazing stove, various coffee makers to use, ample fridge space and an outdoor grill. Whether throwing something together or making a meal, you will find what you need there. The home was extremely clean from the outdoor porch, to the bathroom to the kitchen. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The host was amazing to communicate with - quick communication for any question asked. Also, as far as 'extra' touches, in my experience this was beyond anything I have experienced. It actually makes it hard to rate other experiences now b/c this was so thoughtful, generous and welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying in this lovely home in this quintessential Maine town.

Spent 10 wonderful days in this home away from home. Spotlessly clean, absolutely everything we needed, cannot praise this place and owner enough. Away from the maddening beach crowds but still close enough. Beautiful little town, within walking of cafe’s, French bakery, restaurants.

This place is amazing. The location is perfect, walkable to dining and entertainment. There are so many thoughtful details that make it cozy and relaxing. It is spotlessly clean and organized. A perfect stay!

Shelly thought of everything. It exceeded all our expectations. It is centrally located in downtown Kennebunk and within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and a thrift store. It has a well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, comfortable living & bedrooms, great walk in shower and the highlight of the home was the screened in porch. It was great for dining and relaxing. Overall, a very clean, comfortable and cozy home away from home.

My family and I had great time in this beautiful, clean and well-equipped house. The location is perfect to visit Kennebunk area. Not too close to the beach and port crowd (10 min by car) but at a walking distance to local boutique, bakery, fine grocery and Kennebunk town historical center. A very clean and well-equipped home in the heart of Kennebunk, ME village with several good eateries within walking distance. An easy drive to Kennebunkport for beaches and shops. The owners were very accommodating and went the extra mile to offer ease of checkin and checkout. Very comfortable home and nice owners.

Great time home was great

We selected this house as it felt like the perfect size for our family (2 kids, 6 years old and 4 years old). House met our expectations and Shelly does a great job responding to questions and providing the items you need to make the stay easy. Items like toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, salt/pepper, brita water filter, etc. are all included and the fact we didn't need to worry about any of that made the stay less stressful. Parking pass to the beach made access during the week easy. Great stay and a great host!

House was tidy and well stocked. We felt at home on our first night. Owner was responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, including excursions to the Kennebunk beaches and beyond. Location central to Portland, Ogunquit, Wells, Biddeford, and Kennebunkport. We visited them all!

Property was exactly as described: lovely house, well equipped and maintained, within walking distance of all the convenient stores you need for a week long vacation (organic grocery store, bakery…). Shelly was very quick at answering our questions before and after the booking. She was also very proactive with respect to the check-in process as we received all the necessary information well ahead of time. Her expectations for the check-out were equally clear. Courteous and to-the-point communication all along! Overall it was a great vacation stay which can be equally attributed to this specific area of Maine and Shelly’s dedication to providing the best possible experience with her property.

Highly recommend!!! You can’t find a nicer rental! This was our first time visiting Maine and we had the best time! Shelly’s house is in the perfect, central location. The house itself was immaculately clean, very comfortable, and decorated beautifully! Shelly is the consummate host. She left no detail untouched, from the bottle of wine and beverages in the refrigerator to the extra towels, sheets, and supplies. As first time visitors, Shelly provided great suggestions and guidance. She even took the time to ask about our preferences and offer ideas that we would enjoy. Shelly, thank you so much for everything! We will definitely be back!

Perfect for our week away!

We had a great stay at 1 Parsons! Can’t beat location, owner was great to communicate with, home is adorable + although a 2 bedroom, accommodated our family of 5 just fine!!

House was in a great location on a quiet street. It was stocked with everything we needed and was the perfect size for the 4 of us. Very clean and the owner was always quick to respond to any questions.

My wife, daughter and her friend spent an awesome week in Kennebunk on the beach and enjoying the peace and tranquility of one of Maine's best kept secret coastal villages. Shely was a thoughtful, detailed host and the cottage well appointed, fully stocked and conveniently located in the center of Kennebunk within a short walk to the Boulangerie Bakery ( don't miss this) serving a great assortment of old world style baked goodness, wines and Coffee. The girls and I were blessed with mostly sunny days which we spent kicking back at Gooches and Mother's beach. Truly blessed. We look forward to next summer and staying in a truly excellent property and host.

We loved the area - close to our favorite beaches, and walking distance to stores and restaurants. In a beautiful residential area - Perfect for long walks. Our favorite spot in the house was the large living area - bright and comfortable. The back screened in porch was icing on the cake - perfect for afternoon naps and games at the table.

The kitchen is great, lots of cooking utensils. The rest of the house is compact but comfy. The area is very convenient, close to downtown. Be sure to try the Boulangerie, a small bakery behind the ice rink on the main street.

Had left little welcome treats for us. : ) And was always very pleasant, helpful and super nice. Although we had planned on re-washing all the linen wherever we stayed, due to Covid, this place was so squeaky clean that we didn’t need to. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Kennebunk or surrounding areas. (only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is that the dishwasher was spoilt, and it was a bit of a pain to deal with, since we planned on eating in a lot. Also, there are probably mice in the kitchen.)
