Lovely quiet location. We were looking for something that was off the beaten path and we found exactly what we were looking for. We travelled the island from one end to the other twice with stops in between to walk the wonderful beaches. Back at the cottage we found everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Hats off to the owners.

Just a lovely experience during our stay. The host was wonderful and had many tips for us during our Long Island experience. This property in person is so impressive. Very well maintained and stocked. Will be booking with this host again in the future!

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. Debbie, our host was very welcoming and helpful. She was quick to respond to anything we needed or any questions we had. The house itself is located right in the middle of the island, very close to groceries and liquor. Baywatch cottage is really well stocked and beyond clean! Every detail os thought of which is great for a quiet island.

We loved everything about our stay! The house had anything we could've needed and then some. It was extremely peaceful and private, but very easy to get ahold of Debbie if needed. She and Phillip gave us lots of recommendations and info about the island, and even drove to pick us up from the airport when our flight was changed (with beers waiting for us on ice! Lol) Everyone we met made us feel welcomed and safe & we already talked about going back one day with our children.

Both the Baywatch cottage and the Baywatch house are everything they were advertised as and more. Everything is first class from the furnishings right down to the towels and the bedding. Deborah and Phil are wonderful hosts that are rarely seen unless you're looking for them. We had a great time on this lovely Island. Thank you

This property is perfectly situated on the island making northern & southern treks super easy. Phil met us at the airport & escorted us back to Bay Watch which we really appreciated. Only on one occasion did we call & Debbie & Phil were most responsive. The sun, water & people of Long Island made this a wonderful vacation! Hoping to return soon.

Baywatch Cottage was beautiful cozy and relaxing, just what we needed. We saw sea turtles, a nurse shark and lots of fish in the private cove.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this property. Debbie and Phillip are fantastic hosts. Friendly and welcoming, meeting us at the airport was a great touch putting us at ease both at the airport and taking us to the property. The property is very private and well equipped with nothing being too much trouble. I asked for extra things on multiple occasions and was never made to feel a nuisance. Highly recommend this property and the hosts.

The property owners were so accommodating and gracious and made staying in this beautiful cottage like a being at home, only better. They were always willing to help give tips with outings and places of interest and the best eats all while doing things to make us feel welcome. The cottage was beautifully appointed and so tidy and inviting and stocked with all the things to make it feel like home, from hats, and coolers and a well stocked kitchen including many common spices and staples. We loved the dock and private cove as well as the many beaches around the island. Just a beautiful place and wonderful welcoming islanders who were willing to share a laugh and stories when you stopped in for a bite. The food was delicious and the company delightful in every way. If you're looking for relaxation in a beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle of a crazy world at large, this is the place for you. Flora and fauna are abundant and there is beauty around every corner Traditional bahamian living with a lot of laughter and a peaceful environment are guaranteed. We loved every minute of our stay.

This property is amazing! Saw sharks, turtles, stingrays off the dock. The island is so pretty and this listing is right in the middle of it all. We had an issue with the air conditioner but it was corrected quickly.

Like some of the reviews before me I am hesitate to say just how awesome this place is, I would like to keep this place my little secret. However, that wouldn't be fair to Debbie and Phil (our hosts) and the wonderful people of this island. What a great couples vacation. From the home itself to all the people on the island. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming you will not want to leave TRUST ME. Don't let the remoteness of the island deter you from going you will not regret it.

Imagine a place so beautiful and surene that you cant believe its not a dream Well, thats what staying at Baywatch cottage in Salt Pond felt like. Our host Debbie and Phil's were friendly and treated us as if we were close friends visting. From the unexpected pickup at the airport to grabbing a beer at the local dive. They are amazing folks that make your welcome feel like you belong. The cottage was a home away from home for us. The bedroom overlooked an amazing ocean view where you could watch the sun rise and set. There private cove had spectacular views of sea turtles, reef fish and sting ray. If you're hungry for some delicious smothered pork chops go to Letta's, try Tinys hurricane hole has yummy drink and Lloyds sport lounge for scrumptious jerk chicken let me not forget Stella Maris for the best conch frittas. You want to see the best beaches go to Deans Blue hole but if you want to see more go see captain Lockley for a private sight seeing tour that you will never forget. I rate this place a 10 out of 10 and will return again thank you Debbie and Phil for letting us stay and all the recommendations we had a blast. Mark & Mia

My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary on Long Island and let me tell you...this property did not disappoint! If you're an early riser, you can watch the sunrise; you can also watch the sunset from this same property. Best of both worlds there. The outdoor shower is a nice little bonus (we loved it). We were amazed by the atmosphere on the island, the locals we met were all very nice and welcoming. Debbie and Phil are the most gracious of hosts. We had such a great time while in Long Island that we're already talking about a return trip, but we'll bring the kids next time so they can enjoy the beauty and hospitality of Long Island! I couldn't give 6 stars, so 5 will have to do!

Hosts wee phenomenal! Cottage was as advertised. The whole island was beautiful and the people were welcoming. Restaurants were great. We will be back in the future. We would highly recommend.

Words cannot describe how wonderful our 2 week stay at Debby’s beautiful baywatch house was for us. All the little things made such a difference and they made us feel like family. In fact, the whole island is like one large family! We cannot wait to return!

I am very hesitant to give this cottage a positive review as I don't want the rest of the world to realize what a paradise this Island is, what a great place the cottage is, and what fabulous hosts Debbie and Phil are. My advise to anyone reading this review: grab this cottage for any week you can get (just don't take the time that I want to come back every year).

Wonderful stay at the cottage, all is as described. Debbie and Phillip are amazing hosts. Perfect balance of privacy, friendliness and island/house guidance and with there barely being 1* of separation on the Island, everyone knows the Bayview cottage and it’s lovely owners. The people we encountered at the various restaurants/bars/beaches were so friendly and welcoming, new friends are easily met. If you are like us and privacy is high on your rental must list, this is it. Yes, there are boats in the bay, some days more than others but it would take binoculars to see to the cove...so, who cares! Hesitant? Don’t be, just book it. The outdoor shower is worth it alone. Or, maybe don’t so we can have even more dates open for our next trip, which we are currently planning.

We had a nice quiet week after the passing of a family member. Much needed break to reflect on life, and what is really important. Perfect spot to do that.

The cottage was absolutely above expectations! Debby was a great host and had relevant island information available to make easy choices as to what we wanted to do. The dock was a great place to hang out and watch the beautiful sunsets. The screened in porch was perfect for dinner. I will stay here again, no need to look any further. Paradise on earth!

Debbie was excellent about picking us up at the airport and taking us to our cottage. I’m so glad she did that and out of all the VERBOs we have stayed, she was the first! I was somewhat disappointed once we got there after looking around. The indoor shower had a shower mat that quite frankly needed to be throw away. Which takes me to the outside shower which was heavenly! It was my go to the rest of our stay. The cottage was cute but the seating was not the best. Two very separate built in bench’s with very uncomfortable and thin cushions. We had to bring in the rockers in order to sit together and watch the only only TV in the cottage. We thought it was 4 acres of private land , which it was however there are two other properties in the land for a total of three. The private cove is nice but the entire cove hat 30 or more sail boats in it the whole time we were there. Dean’s hole was the highlight of our trip! Debbie was a gracious host. Very nice.

It was beyond wonderful!!

Host met us at the airport and took us to the home. It was exactly as described, very clean, with a pantry full of cooking essentials. The only possible suggestion I could make would be that a small sofa or a couple comfy chairs would be a nice addition to the living area as a place to relax indoors. But honestly, the property was lovely and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Special thanks to Debbie and Phil for allowing us to stay in paradise for 16 nights. This cottage on the water in the center of LI is the perfect home base for exploring the island. The bed is super comfy, the kitchen is well stocked and the AC and wifi work perfect. After each day of exploration we would head down to the dock with a cold one for the spectacular sunsets. An added bonus is the sea life at the dock.......fish, sharks, turtles, etc.... We already miss the people of LI - they are the friendliest and happiest people we've met in the out islands of the Bahamas. Leaving this unbelievable island was not easy.....my wife cried when we left and we are already planning another trip to LI for 2023. Until we return........ Steve & Sharon

We had an amazing time at Debbie & Phil’s place at Thanksgiving. The cottage was the perfect spot for the most amazing sunsets each night. We kayaked each morning across to the nearby islands for some shell picking, rented a car from Mr. T, met some lovely locals & dined at the famous Max’s & at Chez Pierre’s! We visited Salt Pond Beach, Deans Blue Hole (great snorkeling), Galloway Beach (our favorite!), the beach/cove at Compass Rose & Gordon’s Beach. It was remarkable to think we had seen the best of the island, only to visit a new location that was more spectacular than the one before. This island did not disappoint & Debbie & Phil were amazing hosts & tour guides! We can not wait to come back!
