We loved this stay. The location of this charming cottage cannot be beat. It was plenty of space for our party of 5 with 3 young kids. Already talking about booking for next year!

This typical NC beach cottage sits right on the beach and close to restaurants and stores in either Emerald Isle or Atlantic Beach. Clean and recently updated this sweet cottage is small but is packed with all the amenities you need for a great trip.

I loved it but was a little hard on my senior parents with the steps.

The deck is nestled in between dunes for added privacy. Very cozy and cute.

We had a wonderful vacation at Emerald Isle staying in the Sea Turtle. Everything was just as expected. Well stocked and beautifully decorated. Joyce was amazing to work with and very responsive. Thank you for a spectacular week on the North Carolina shore.

We stayed during tropical storm Ophelia- it was a wild time but a wonderful stay! Beautiful porch area, can't get closer to the beach, but insulated behind the dunes. We had everything we needed and easy access to Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach, and more. Joyce was great. Would definitely come again!

EI is our favorite place to vacation, but this is our first stay at the Sea Turtle Cottage and it didn’t disappoint! Everything was clean, beds were comfy, and you can’t beat the view and beach access! Joyce was a breeze to work with. We have no complaints whatsoever other than we had to leave 😢 But we will be back soon!

Overall we really liked the place. We did experience a couple of issues which included a broken washing machine, rusted out grill and a bug infestation issue. The water appeared yellow in color so not sure what if anything could be done with that. The furniture in the living area appeared to be dated as well. It should be noted that Joyce Jones, our contact person, and the maintenance staff immediately gave attention to our issues and did a nice job with fixing them including providing a brand new grill in a timely fashion. The location of the unit was excellent with proximity to the ocean and views that were spectacular. We would consider renting again.

We lived our stay in your lovely cottage. Everything was just as described and we adored being so close to the beach. The beds were comfy with lovely drag linens—do be advised that the master bedroom bed is very high, which was a challenge for my elderly in-laws but nothing a step stool couldn’t conquer (and thankfully Ace hardware was not far). We loved cooking dinners and appreciated the nearly new grill and plenty of propane. We will be back for sure!

This is our second time in this cottage in 4 months and we will return. Clean, quiet neighborhood but close to everything. We camp all the time and wanted to try a cottage on the beach for something different and have fallen in love. The booking process was so easy.

We had the best time at this awesome property. We loved being able to walk from the back deck right on the beach. So convenient! The property was super clean and felt very homey. It has every thing you could possibly need. The location is great for a peaceful vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our 7th return to See Turtle Cottage. We will be back again next year. I think that tells you how much we appreciate the cottage, the location, the management and all this small house has to offer. All the equipment I needed to cook anything I decided… a new fridge I tried to fill and couldn’t… a smart TV… comfy beds. What’s not to like? The place is darling! Hated to leave. Made next year’s reservation before leaving to help lessen the blow. Thanks Joyce!

It was a perfect weekend! The location is great, quiet place right in the middle of the Island. Emerald Isle to the left Atlantic Beach to the right. Perfect size for a family with doggies welcome! I will most definitely return!

Joyce was so easy to work with....The house was great, the perfect size for us and our two pups...We were in emerald Isle checking on the progress of our new home being built in Indian Beach...The house was clean. The access to the beach was direct as the description and photos show. Its only 1/4 mile from our new home and that made the few things we had to do with our contractor very easy! we highly reccomend See Turtle! Steve and Kate Summerfield NC

Awesome location

Very private, nicely appointed beachfront home, good for small groups or a family of four. Beautiful view and right on the beach. Fantastic check-in and out - very easy. Would not recommend for those with mobility issues or very small children or pets. Definitely needs work on deck railings (several were loose) and deck lighting, gates at deck entrances/exit are needed if you have pets. Pest control needed, especially if you open windows (no screens). We had a great stay (small group of older friends) and would stay again.

The overall stay was good, the cleanliness was not so good. The blinds in the master bedroom still had dust on them. There were also 2 dead cockroaches underneath one of the sofas in the living room along with a ball (assuming for a dog). When we arrived 30 mins after check in, the cleaning crew was still there cleaning so we were not happy they were there when we pulled up. We also heard scratching on in the wall in the master bedroom/bathroom which we believe was a mouse. Other than the house being not so clean, the view is great and is nice for a small family.

What a lovely, cozy cottage tucked away in the dunes and with the surf and sand just outside your door. Just a great spot for the three of us and our small dog. I recommend it, with just a few caveats. The nicely decorated living room could use a refresh with new (or newly cleaned) seat cushions and slipcovers. Sadly, the cottage was in need of a visit by an exterminator, too. Finally, the bedrooms are lovely, but two of the beds are very tall (and one of the mattresses saggy), which made it a little difficult for those of us who aren't very tall to get in and out of bed. Despite those few blemishes, See Turtle Cottage is quaint and quiet and -- with its value -- perfect for a small group looking to book a place that won't break the bank.

*To many pillows taking up valuable space. Get rid of at least half. *Kitchen counter too crowded. Get rid of Keurig machine; guests can make their own coffee and it would free up valuable space on counter top. *We had an OVER abundance of flies the entire 2 weeks. We were wondering if they were breeding in walls. Pest control should be called to investigate.
