The establishment is geared for loadshedding. They are geared for winter. Warm beds, sherry & cozy fireplace.

Small room a bit too small. But very pretty, & clean.

The friendliness and readiness of the staff to assist they were so welcoming and helpful. Everything about this hotel is amazing. We felt safe. Our room was stunning and comfortable. The property is beautiful and expertly maintained. The food was really good made by a well trained chef. Would definitely stay there again.

We liked the fact that it was close to the N3 so we could get to Midmar quickly and also a few blocks away from the Hilton parkrun. centrally located in other words. the units were very clean and bedding was crisp and clean.

When booking our stay through Booking.com, the payment option was to pay on arrival however, my sister in law prompted me that if we didn’t do an EFT on a certain day (the day she called us) we would loose our booking. There seems to be a disconnect between Booking.com and the B&B. So all 3 parties frantically did their respective EFT’s and sent the POP onto Monzali for their records. A few days prior to our departure to Hilton I was contacted and there seemed to be an issue regarding who is going into which room. Then on Sunday as we returned from our Midmar Mile swim, the group was informed that someone hasn’t paid! Honestly, I was rather annoyed because this is the first time we’ve encountered anything like this before. ALL MONIES HAD BEEN PAID PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL. Your bank statements should reflect such. The fact that the establishment was not flexible in their approach. We have all travelled extensively and gauge an establishment on their flexibility when it comes to requests. Our request was for a late check out due to the fact that we were swimming the Midmar Mile and wanted to return to the B&B to shower before checking out and heading off on our travels back to Johannesburg and Durban. This seems to cause an issue for the establishment and I liaise with Zinhle to find a workable solution. My so Union was the approach taken by the establishment and if I hadn’t suggested it, we would have had to drive back to our homes without a nice warm shower after Midmar. The other disappointing aspect to our stay was as a small group we wanted to have a get together and my husband cooks the swimmers dinner. That was an outright NO. So, we took our food to another Booking.Com venue in Hilton and we’re hosted by the most hospitable family who went the extra mile to accommodate us. It was like chalk and cheese. There were no proper shower mats in our bathroom so we used what seemed to be hand towels.
