what began as a husband/wife trip quickly expanded into a family and friends Thanksgiving feast. What a wonderful location, with plenty of room and great sunsets.

Marjorie your house was just what we were looking for. Any closer to the water and we would have been in it. The covered porch was our favorite coffee spot…one morning a storm came through and we loved watching it go across the lake from the porch. We would recommend this house to anyone that loves the lake. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us! God bless!

Check in and check out process- plain and simple. Very pleased with the response time from the home owner when asked questions and issues were addressed in a timely manner. I would not hesitate in staying here again.

Although the weather didn’t cooperate it was a nice relaxing long weekend kids still played in water! Only one suggestion I would give better relaxing furniture in living room instead of futons as that’s where we tend to spend a lot of time! Owner was always quick to respond to emails thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with my family!

Very easy to rent, everything was communicated well, we had a great time.

Upon our arrival, the inside of the home looked clean and welcoming. Once inside we noticed a layer of dust (not pollen) on the bedroom nightstands and across the top of the kitchen stove. There were cigarette butts left in the ashtray near the back porch entry door and an uncapped cleaning spray left on the dresser in one of the bedrooms. On the 6th day of our stay smelly damp rags were discovered left inside the washing machine. The top driveway was covered with at least a 3 foot high pile of leaves that my husband initially raked with his feet so we could park in the driveway without the car catching the leaves on fire. Afterwards we found a rake and cleared the driveway ourselves. Discovering there was no dishwasher was a huge let down. My mistake for not seeing this before renting. Relying on guests to thoroughly clean their own dirty dishes is a huge responsibility on the vacationing guests. The first mug we pulled from the cupboard was disgustingly dirty. We headed to the nearest Dollar General and bought a service for four dish set and silverware so we are guaranteed to have clean dishes during our stay. The great room furniture consists of two futons, equivalent to dorm room comfort, and a wicker chair. Beds upstairs are comfortable. Showers have nice water flow and hot water. Both bathrooms are updated and were clean. We used the rental for lodging only so we are unable to comment on fishing, swimming or boating activities. The home is relaxing and quiet. It would be a great place for large gatherings.

Good boat launch and access to lake spots easy in boat . Dock fishing was great as well.

The outside area is lovely- very spacious porch, lots of seating with a great view of the cove. Very peaceful. The house is clean and spacious downstairs main living area. The decor is a little outdated, but well maintained.

This is a nice house on the lake. The boat ramp access is very close to the property.

House is beautiful. We had a good time. Kayaking was a first for me. Had plenty of water toys. Fishing was just ok. Didn't catch much as expected. But I did catch my PB huge bream. Anyhoot, well stocked and very nice seating area outside. Ok now my complaint, ate dinner first night at kitchen table. I noticed dog and what seemed like black human hair all over table. Now I remember why I dont like staying at places that allow dogs. I just dont understand how that was missed in the cleaning. Not fun picking hair out your food. 🤮(We ate the rest of our meals at the counter. )Dog hair was upstairs on the pillows and bed frames. And through out house. I found a dog toy behind the dresser when plugging up my phone. I always pack my own sheets and pillows and blankets . I'm especially glad I did on this trip. Couches smelled like dog and hair on them too. People dont follow the rules and you pay all that money for cleaning fee for it not to be cleaned right. The next renter has to deal with it. It's not fair. I suggest get a better cleaning person. Dead bugs on bathroom sinks. The washing machine smelled very musty . I had to run hot water and bleach through it before I could wash a load of clothes it was that bad. Food was left in frig., but that's nothing surprising. I would have rated better if it wasnt for the dog hair. 🤷‍♀️

The house was roomier than I had imagined. Second floor where rooms are is updated and very nice. Had an issue but owner took care of it.

One of the most relaxing vacation I had in along time. Owner was very pleasant to talk to when I locked myself out of the house. Very convenient location to launch the boat. Kitchen was stocked with supplies. Nice area to have friends and family to hang out outside when it rains. Would highly recommend for vacation for your family. The Halls

Nice place! Mrs. Olsen was very nice and responsive when I had questions before our arrival! We enjoyed our stay very much and would like to return in the future!

Needed a home for the weekend while we closed on our home in the area. Marjorie was easily accessible and very pleasant. The house was very nice and had great access to the lake.

The waterfront location was a great, as well as the fire pit down by the water. Had it not rained most of the time, there were plenty of kayaks/life jackets to entertain a group row around the lake. It was also great that we were able to take our dog with us. The only point of concern - and I hesitate to mention this, but it does factor into houses we choose to rent - is that the property has security cameras that were not disclosed in the posting. There was one located at the front and back of the house, but it was the back porch camera that made you feel watched if you were grilling or hanging out on the back patio. Overall, it was a great location to have a weekend away!

OMG Marjorie was amazing she responded so quick when I had questions the place was very clean and organized. I can’t wait for summer time to go back again.

We had a good time, nice & kid friendly. My husband fished the whole time but no luck with a catfish. Would have been nice to have more firewood to enjoy.

Great location on Lake Badin with large patio to sit outside and take in the view, listen to the sounds of nature, and enjoy good conversation in a peaceful setting. When you're ready for action, the dock provides private access to the lake to fish, swim or go boating. Wonderful stay!
