We couldn’t have asked for anything better than this perfectly located property. I scored big points with my wife and daughter for the coffee house vibe and artsy decor. We were able to walk to countless sites and restaurants, and even got a glimpse of the northern lights out of one of the bedroom skylights.

The apartment was perfect for our family and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The only drawback was that we had a rental car and couldn't locate free parking anywhere nearby.

The Artist apartment is everything we could want. The host is welcoming and helpful. The location is good for the centre of Reykjavik. The cooking facilities are excellent. We will be back

The apartment was so lovely and fun to stay in. The location is perfect for walking everywhere in Reykjavik. I will say if you are renting a car, parking in any neighborhood is challenging. I hope we have the opportunity to return to Iceland and we would definitely stay in this apartment with no rental car!

Great location! Convenient to all the tourist attractions, stores, restaurants. Lovely, vintage place but comfortable and spotless with all the amenities you could want. We contacted the host with a couple of questions and got immediate responses.

This location was perfect. The condo itself is spacious and very artfully composed. Simply staying in Lisbet’s space was a unique one of a kind experience. The airflow through the space was wonderful. Beds were also very comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking any meals we made there.

The apartment was absolutely stunning and the location could not be beat!! We loved it!! Great host.

We stayed in this wonderful apartment for a week with a family of four while visiting the Reykyavik/Reykyanes area and the Southeast. The apartment is splendid, light and airy and fantastically located. It is spacious, well equipped, and has a great vibe about it. One thing to note is that very recently they changed the free parking boundaries but we were still able to park for free a few streets away. This may be something to keep an eye on in future if you have a car. Overall, a fantastic stay, a great apartment and a wonderful city and country. I would love to visit again and highly recommend this apartment.

Great location to visit the city. Parking for free on the side street was easy and convenient. We enjoyed the Independence parade from our windows and could walk to restaurants and shops easily.

Amazing property. Feels like a chic Paris appartment. Right in the heart of the downtown shops bars and restaurants, but still quiet and peaceful. Loved it.

Family trip to Iceland! This apartment was fantastic! Huge! So unique and location was fabulous! Walking distance to everything you could need! Amazing bakery right around the corner! Wonderful spot for our family vacation to Iceland! Two twin beds for our sons in one room and a king bed for my husband and I in another. Additionally, there is a twin bed in the master bedroom as well and a huge couch in the living room if we had needed it. Our youngest son really enjoyed the grand piano, we loved the convenience of this artistically, beautifully appointed home in the middle of such a quaint area of restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and gift shops. The owner has a very helpful list of all things needed and suggestions to make your vacation great! Take your family to Iceland now for an unforgettable week on what seems like an entirely different planet! Takk!!

My parents and I loved our stay here! The apartment is spacious and modern, with plenty of space to spread out after a long day sightseeing. A glass of wine on the balcony in the evening was the perfect way to wind down the day. The kitchen offered everything we needed to make a meal and the shops/coffee/bakeries were all very nearby.

This is one of the best properties we have stayed in over the many years. The location is perfect for exploring the town on foot - the church is a few blocks up the road and nearly all restaurants/coffee shops/bakeries/shopping that you would want to do are within a 5 minute walk. The apartment itself is spectacular - the bottom floor has high ceilings, a well-appointed kitchen, breakfast room with outdoor patio, living room with a large comfortable couch and other comfy seating, as well as a large dining room with a piano and great speakers for playing music. It was well-lit with natural sunlight and the decor was artsy and welcoming. We appreciated the half-bath downstairs as well. The upstairs two bedrooms are large and the bathroom is huge, with a soaking tub and separate shower. There is a view of the mountains, church, or water from the bathroom and bedroom windows. Lisbet was very communicative - check-in was easy, and the recommendations for parking nearby and local bars/restaurants was especially appreciated. We'd also been traveling for a while, so the option to do laundry was helpful. We'll certainly stay here again next time we are in Reykjavik. Absolutely great place with a great host.

We were a party of 5, 2 adults and 3 pre teens. This is a very unique, spacious apartment in downtown Reykjavik. Beautiful decor and a grand piano which my granddaughter loved to play. Very comfortable beds and fairly quiet despite being close to the downtown core. Bakery, ice cream store and swimming pool all a short walk away. Loved our stay here.

The property was just as advertised. Communication with the property owner was great. It was centrally located, and within walking distance to a lot of great sites. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on another trip to Iceland!!

We absolutely loved our 3-night stay in this beautiful, comfortable apartment. Great location, wonderfully comfortable beds, toasty warm during a cold snap, quiet at night (even on Friday night), lovely furnishings and decoration. We also appreciated being able to check in earlier. We would definitely hope to stay here again! One note: it was difficult to open the lockbox where the keys are found; it might need to be replaced. Fortunately a friendly downstairs neighbor came out and banged the lockbox to help us open it. Otherwise everything was just wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at this location in late February/early March. The photos don't do it justice, This is a 3rd floor apartment so there are stairs. The main floor has a spacious living room, modern kitchen, library with a balcony, a powder room, and a dining room that seats 10 with a grand piano. The decor is very eclectic. A tight spiral staircase takes you to the 2 bedrooms and full bath in the attic space. The ceilings here are slanted so probably not great for tall folks. There is a modern tub and shower, and the bedding is great. The location could not better, the house is on Skolavaroustigur a few blocks from the Hallgrimkirja and easily walkable to most of the city. If you have a car there is free parking on a side street and spaces are at a premium but we usually found a spot. Lisbeth is a friendly and helpful hostess and her dog is friendly too.

Beautiful property right in the heart of central shopping and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the coast. The perfect location for setting up base in Reykjavik! We were traveling with 2 teen boys and this apartment was perfect - everyone had sufficient space to spread out, we were able to do laundry, and the artwork and historic nature of the apartment sparked great conversation. This is not a cookie-cutter apartment, it is stunning and the artwork was beautiful! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your absolutely charming apartment!

We could not have been happier with our rental experience! The accommodations were outstanding and the location was absolutely perfect! Right in the middle of shopping/restaurants/sightseeing! Would absolutely go back again!!

The location is excellent, however, parking is less than ideal. The floor upstairs is quite creaky, difficult to walk around without waking sleepers. We couldn’t find the bathroom light or how to turn lamps by the bed. There was no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in the shower. The apartment is nicely furnished and comfortable.

Property has an excellent location with proximity to shops, food and sightseeing downtown. We had lots of room to stretch out after each day of excursions. Upgrades made the property very comfortable.

This apartment was perfect for our family trip to Reykjavik. Our 3 kids slept comfortably and the location was great for exploring Reykjavik and meeting the tour companies for trips to the South Coast and Golden Circle. Looking forward to our next trip back and would certainly stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality!

Beautiful apartment in a great location for exploring the city. Easy walk to shops and restaurants, close to bus stop for day tour pick ups. Beautifully decorated and well appointed if you want to have a night in.. Would highly recommend.
