You only really need to bring food, body wash/shampoo and clothes. We were rained in the first 3 days of our stay so we ended up watching their movies, playing Xbox, building wooden structures, and reading their books. Once the weather cleared, the boys went fishing at dawn and dusk and played on the beach every day. Our dog was too scared to step foot in the water but I think he appreciated all the new critter smells. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, an electric griddle (!), and plenty of plates and utensils. Lots of bath towels, beach towels, and even a towel for the dog. There was even a stocked first aid kit with a tube of much-needed hydrocortisone. We enjoyed our stay on the lake and hope to visit again in the future.

We had a great time and found our stay to be very relaxing. We really appreciated how well-appointed and clean the cabin was. The owners truly thought of everything. The other cabins were far enough away to feel private. Having a morning coffee on the screened in porch was my favorite part of the day.
We enjoyed playing badminton and volleyball on the property courts. The equipment provided was all in great shape. This camp has been well maintained and cared for and the grounds are beautiful.
The sunsets are definitely something special here. Best enjoyed down by the water with a campfire and a s’more :) (which the owners were gracious enough to provide the ingredients for!)

Steep incline in front of cabin with big step up to house
Mattress needs to be replaced. Kitchen well stock for cooking.
Canoe and kayaks not used due to steep slope. Cabin is lake front behind several trees. Not the best for older folks with knee or back problems. Enjoyed sitting on the beach. Did catch a couple fish in the reeds, but be careful of the mud. Lots of games and toys for little ones, in case you have children. Very quiet community of 9 cabins. Owner provided good communication, for check in, but wish we knew about steep slope to cabin entrance and blocked view, especially if sitting in the screened in porch.

Lovely retreat
The cabin was clean and as depicted on the listing. The bed was so comfy! We did get some night lights as it was pitch dark at night and it helped having those to navigate. The walking trails were ideal for our dogs and were clean and well groomed. Overall a really nice little cabin. Wish the furniture on the porch was higher and comfortable as it would have been nice to sit out there at night but it was not appealing. The double Adirondack chair in the front of the cabin was a dream spot to sit and read and take in the peace of the lake. The access to kayaks etc, was a treat as well. Well done Jessica and Rick!

Great cottage and great location = great family vacation
The cottage is just like the pictures shown on the website and it has everything even more than what you need. The location is awesome as the cottage is inside the woods which makes it cool in the sunny day. The lake with gorgeous view is right in front of you. The best part about this lake is the shallow area so widespread which you can swim or wade around. Perfect for kayaking or fishing. Very quiet place for you to stay away from the city noises. We includes our dog all had a wonderful vacation here.

A week in paradise!
This is the perfect Maine camp. I wish it was ours! Angell Cove has nine cottages in a wooded area with serene views. We loved that there was space between the cottages and the limited amount of people made the neighborhood very peaceful. It was never rowdy. We met some great people who have been coming for years, and they were all welcoming. It’s the kind of place you could see becoming your summer family.
Rick’s camp was spotless (hard to do with a Maine cabin!) we were never disturbed by bugs or grime. We loved that the decor was a perfect mix of classic camp (quail theme, knotted pine, braided rugs) and updated comfort (fantastic beds, a coffee bar, TV area in the loft) honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. A ton of sand has been added along the shore to make the beach inviting. We spent a lot of time there. This side of the lake has a high clay content making it shallow and swishy. Our kids (3 and 5) didn’t mind wading in but know beforehand that the water isn’t really suited for adult swimming. Thankfully Rick provided water shoes we could borrow and that helped a lot. The highlights for our family were kayaking to the black sand island, sunset campfires on the shore of the lake, watching cargo trains go by a few miles down the road, and listening to loons and owls at night on the screened in porch. We loved it here!

Relaxing Maine Lake Experience
Our family (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and dog) enjoyed the relaxing experience we had at this cabin/location. The cabin is very clean and organized. We appreciated having some necessities (toilet paper, garbage bags, etc) available on our arrival. This cabin is one of about 7 on the property. The property has a nice beach, dock, and fire pits available. The property is remote and thus quiet. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore nearby. We also rented a boat so the teens could go tubing. Would definitely recommend this location if you are looking to just hang out, swim, boat, fish, and eat some home cooked meals.

They have thought of everything
A cozy cabin with everything you would need for the week. A canoe, kayaks, life vests, fishing poles/tackle, bug spray, suntan lotion, hammock. firepits and beach towels to keep you active on the lake. Books, DVD's, Xbox and a TV for when you want to just hang out inside. If you are looking for a beautiful and serene setting, then this is it. One of the most relaxing weeks I have had in a long time.
The owners have done a wonderful job making sure you have everytime you need. Just bring cloths/food and you are all set. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Rick, who gave me a few recommendations (Popham Beach and Fast Eddies Drive-in) which were both spot on.

How life should be
This rental was exactly what I was looking for. A place to relax and reflect and enjoy the rural setting and beautiful lake. Read, kayak, hike, do jigsaw puzzles, nap, lovely. Everything I needed was there.

Perfect for our Maine vacation
This was our first visit to Maine. My husband & I love to camp and be in the mountains and small towns, and even though we had friends on the coast and went to some of the towns on the coast and islands, we loved having the cabin to "come home" to. Stayed a week, so it was great to be able to cook/BBQ. Coffee in the morning and wine/fire by the lake was just wonderful. Stayed late Sept-early Oct so we pretty much had the lake to ourselves, and found there weren't a lot of tourists anywhere we went. Only about an hours drive to the mid-coast or Portland areas, about 2.5 hours to Acadia, but we loved driving through all the beautiful scenery and small Maine towns. Jess and Rick have a lovely cabin with a comfy bed and great views. They communicated promptly and answered all our questions. Helped make this one of our best vacations ever!

A Little Peace of Heaven
The cabin on the lake at Angell Cove has become our favorite place to end the summer. The cabin is immaculate and equipped with everything you could need. There is always a nice breeze which makes "chillaxin" on the screened porch the best way to start and finish your day. The grounds are well kept, evening walks through the fields and trails will lead you to the best place to watch the sunset over the lake. The fishing is fantastic!! We had a safe place to dock our boat which allowed us to be on the water whenever we wished. The perfect place for a perfect vacation, we will be back.

Relaxation to the max!
This is our second visit to Angell Cove cottages but our first stay in this cottage. Everything we needed was provided-sheets,towels,kayaks,fishing poles, kitchen equipment,fans,games.... I could go on & on! We had a fabulous relaxing time floating & kayaking in the lake, took a few day trips and the kids loved all the games in the loft. It was very quiet this year(no other kids) but my kids didn't mind because they just loved climbing on the rocks & swimming in the lake! I took some amazing photos of the beautiful sunsets. The perfect vacation.

Enchanting Property
Whether your from a city of small town the lake area is sure to please.
Our stay was all what we had hoped for and more. Everything was well thought out having all of the items needed for a fun filled vacation with our grandchildren. Children were excited having toys, books, movies, games, etc...up in the loft for them when they were inside that is .
All equipment for fishing for all were there. Life jackets, water shoes, etc...
Nothing was needed from home , this beautiful cabin had it all. I loved the fact the cooking pots, pans, cast iron pan, large electric griddle for those breakfast pancakes, also square white dishes, bowls, and more were there.
The bedding had a luxurious feel and beds were very comfortable too.
The rustic cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. Lots of fans if you needed any. Extra towels, linens, paper goods, and many other items. We were impressed with everything the cabin had. I can't say that enough!
The lake I could stare at all day , the area having many places with Adirondack chairs to stop and sit. The loons and other nature is something wonderful there. The beach was all we had hoped for. The fishing was good and the guys loved visiting the Black Sand Island that was just a short boat/Kayak paddle away.
Hope to visit again .

Terrific location on the lake. Best part was reading and eating lunch in the ADK’s chairs by the lake

Lovely and Comfortable
Had a lovely 3 weeks at this location -- the owners were very responsive to questions and kindly left ingredients for smores - what fun! The camp was very comfortable - only issue was the wifi was spotty. Maybe because all wifi is spotty in this rural area of Maine - but it did make it a little hard to stream the news etc. Truly felt at home and my pup loved it! Thank you!!

Much Needed Get Away
We returned to Angell Cove to get away and relax . The reservation process was quick and easy. The cottage was perfect; immaculate, well equipped, and very comfortable while maintaining that rustic feel. .
You couldn't ask for a better location, private cove, beautiful view of the lake, cool breezes, and very quite. Kayaks, canoe, and even fishing gear was available for our use. And to top it all off the fishing was fantastic.
We also rented a motor boat from Beacon Boat rentals.Tyler was top notch, he delivered the boat right to our dock, very courteous, helpful, no hassle.
We highly recommend this location to couples or families
Thank You,
Gary & Donna

5 Star Stay
As a group of fisherman who planned to do nothing but fish for the entire length of our stay, we were spoiled with the accommodations of this cabin. Everything was clean, the cabin was cozy, and the fish were biting. We will be back.

Excellent
This cottage is beautiful and functional, with an awesome screen porch and view of the water. We were there in mid-September and it was quiet and private. I went swimming in the very warm water with the leaves drifting down around me...quite magical.

Wonderful spot on the best lake
We try to visit this part of Maine every summer and have rented other camps on Androscoggin Lake in the past. This one is wonderful, and less rustic than others we've stayed in. It was great to have drinkable water come out of the taps (rather than the lake water many camps use). The house is cozy and comfortable with a lovely screened-in porch and a beautiful view of the lake. The beach is right there and it's easy to get on the lake in the kayaks provided. The kitchen has all you need. They thought of everything. We'd go back there for sure.
