We really enjoyed the property and location. Some of the furniture was tired and the dryer quit working after 5 days but we were able to get through it. We had rented chairs but upon arrival found chairs in the garage. I would suggest letting renters know if there are chairs or not so they don't have to rent unnecessarily. Great trip with grandkids and kids. Would definitely do it again.

Nice spot
Excellent location and house. Well appointed and nice furnishings. First floor has all you need - so nice to have a bathroom for every bedroom. Short walk to beach. And we love this ocean green street.
Could use a screen porch - lots of debris coming on to deck but it was windy. Basement is cool but a bit musty.
We would stay here again for sure.

Misleading Pics on Website
Most everything in this house was in good working order. It was reasonably clean and had most items you need with the exception of a broom. However the overall presentation of this house as a full four bedroom and four bath house and big enough for 8-10 people is misleading. It does have four bedrooms, three very small, and four baths but this is at the expense of the living area of the house. The kitchen is more like a four person kitchen (at Kiawah most meals are eaten in due to very few nearby restaurants). The one room siting area is very small and only has three chairs and a sofa (seats five with three on a sofa). The back porch (deck) is nothing like the pic trys to show. It is small with poor quality furnishings and not a pleasant place to sit and view the golf course, have a drink or read a book. This house is more like a two bedroom condo with limited living space. The kitchen is well furnished for 10 but not much room to cook and eat. The dining table is nice with has 8 chairs but is more like a small hallway. If someone wants to leave the table everyone on that side has to get up and let them out. It is just too small of a house for hosting more than 4-6 people. There is lots of room in the basement but it is dark and wasted space.

Fun stay
Great property on Turtle Point golf course. About a 12 minute walk to the beach and roughly 15 minutes from the front gate. We really enjoyed having a grill for burgers on the patio, the open kitchen/living room, and pool table downstairs. I will note that the master shower did not drain properly so we couldn't run both shower heads in case the shower flooded. Overall, excellent property.

Terrific Location
This home is located in a fabulous, quiet neighborhood close to the beach and very close to the neighborhood pool. We found the home to be very clean and well-furnished - the beds were extremely comfortable. There is so much space to accommodate guests, and the entire basement is finished to provide great extra space to play pool, games, or relax and watch a movie. We were disappointed with the functionality of the kitchen appliances. They could definitely use updating/replacement. The electric stovetop was almost unusable, and the refrigerator was quite problematic - especially the freezer department. Fortunately, there's a refrigerator/freezer in the basement that works quite well. We hope the owners will also give attention to the outdoor dining table on the back deck. It's in very poor repair. Overall, the property was very good, and our family enjoyed coming together for the first time in a very long time. We've enjoyed family vacations at Kiawah Island for over thirty years now, and we look forward to planning our next gathering there very soon! Sweetgrass Properties are wonderful to work with, too!

The home was just as pictured and only a 10 minute walk to the beach, as advertised. So we enjoyed the use of the house and had a wonderful time at the beach and riding bikes around the island. However, we had a few problems. First, many of the dishes were dirty in the cupboards (virtually all of the glasses), there was hair in two of the showers and on the beds, and the air conditioning system was on some sort of weird timer that would lower the temp to 66-70 degrees at random times throughout the day so no matter how many times we adjusted the temp, it would become an icebox several hours later. (Oh and the vents are directly over the beds so you feel every frigid degree when it drops...I closed the vent over the bed in the MB and still woke up cold). The management team sent a crew out to clean the house (and dishes) again and someone came to adjust the thermometer (it still went went down to freezing at night even after he came), but the damage had already been done. We had already used a few of the dishes before we realized they were dirty....during a pandemic! We can only pray the previous guests did not have Covid. In addition, there were no instructions on how to use the lock box when we arrived (you had to hold one button while you pushed up on another while you punched in the code or something) and there was an additional lockbox on the door as well (for real estate agents), further confusing everything. So we had to wait outside on the porch for at least a half an hour until they could contact someone who knew how to use the lock (we arrived on a Sunday when the Sweetgrass office was closed). Simple instructions on the door or in the email they sent with the code would have saved us some heartache.Finally, if you tell people the beach is a 10- minute walk, it would be nice if you had a little map or instructions or something on how to get there (turn left, go to the end of the street, find the path through the trees in between two houses, go over the bridge, turn left again, then you’ll see a sign that says “beach” and just follow the signs from there.). But we had to call the Sweetgrass office for directions and then had to ask a resident after we crossed over the little bridge....it is NOT self explanatory, but once you do it once or twice, it’s easy. So great house, just a few details that were overlooked that could have made this stay perfect.

Lovely home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 14 ocean green. Watch g the golfers off the back deck was so relaxing! The proximity to the sanctuary and market were also a plus. While a little bit of a walk to the beach....the 3-minute bike ride was easy. The house itself is beautiful....all neural tones and very relaxing. Downstairs is a game room and second living area which was great for the kids or anyone who wanted to stay up late and not have to worry about the noise. The beach items in the storage closet were a plus as well...corn-hold set, bike baskets, chairs, boogie boards....all much appreciated! Would definitely stay here again. We had 9 in our party and the siize was adequate.

A Wonderful Kiawah Getaway Home
The home was wonderful! In great condition and a welcome sanctuary from the long work travels the wife and I face throughout the year. The location is close enough for a quick 5 minute walk to the Turtle Point Clubhouse for dinner or a drink. Thankfully we all had enough room and the dogees loved it! The internet connection was great and the home electronics were easy to use. Great instructions help the stay even more. Hope to stay there again soon!

Don't use sweetgrass properties
2 weeks before our stay I received an email stating that the 5 bedroom house I had reserved 10 months ago was now a 4 bedroom house and there was nothing I could do about it. They didn't offer any refund or discount for changing from a 5 to a 4 br. They removed the twin beds and replaced them with a sleeper sofa. Then two days before we arrived I received another email that stated they wanted to show the property while we were there. I explained that we were running the kiawah marathon and really didn't want to be concerned with someone looking at the property while we were there. They continued to send me emails and texts asking when would be a good time. I finally gave in and agreed to a time. I will not rent from sweetgrass properties again.

Just a quick walk/bike ride from the beach, the home was clean and spacious. The kitchen was wonderful and all guests enjoyed their own en suite bathrooms.

Great :Location and Setting
The house was very roomy, much larger than anticipated. Lots of common areas to relax and enjoy ourselves. The accoutrements were rather skimpy however; only 1/2 roll of paper towels, 1 pkg of dishwasher soap, 1 pkg of laundry soap, NO extra trash bags, NO coffee filters. My sisters stayed in a house next door that had all of those items and more. Plus their home came with a $250 credit for either bike or beach chair rental. Should have read the fine print more closely.
Having said all that, the home was lovely and very relaxing. Would return.

Great space for family weekend
Our family of nine, including grown children, spouses, and an infant, enjoyed staying here to attend a family wedding. Lovely setting and spacious house with a well appointed kitchen. Good private and gathering spaces and nice rec room with pool table. Very clean. Easy, pleasant walk to beach. It would have been nice to have more chairs for outdoors and alternatives to foam bed pillows.

Beautiful, spacious house in great location!
I have been coming to Kiawah Island for many years. This house is an unbelievable value in a superb location (right on the Turtle Point golf course, and a nice, shady 10 minute walk to the best part of the beach), and would be great for groups or families (we were just two people). And unlike a lot of previous Kiawah rentals I have had, this house doesn't feel like it's stuck in the 90s (style wise) or run down. It has a very modern feel
As far as the house goes, the house is basically what one would look for in a rental. the kitchen is well stocked and has solid appliances. Each bedroom has a large bed and its own dedicated bathroom (good for house shares). The master bedroom has a very large bathroom with a two head shower and a jacuzzi tub. The living room / open kitchen gets great light. The dining room is large, great for entertaining. The downstairs has a pool table, a poker table, and a bonus living room. Plus, the house is pet friendly!
The management company was attentive, organized, very easy to work with. Thanks for a great stay!

Spacious home, great location w/ some shortcomings
I would give this property 3.5 stars (based on condition when I rented). It is spacious and in a great location just steps away from the community pool and minutes walk from beach access. Kiawah Island has some good restaurants and Freshfields Village is a nice area to walk around that has shops and eateries. Please note though you are at the mercy of the restaurants on the island which are located at the Ocean Course clubhouse or the Sanctuary Hotel and some of those are a little pricey but food is great! You have to make your way towards/into Charleston for other food options and that is about 35-45 minutes away. The Ryder Cup Bar was excellent. On the negative side, please be aware this home is advertised as “newly renovated“. However, this house was renovated over three years ago. This home appears to be consistently rented most of the year therefore, some spots in this home reflect the high turnover of coming and going It’s my understanding, things like redoing the hardwood floors and other significant repairs were/are going to occur soon. The property management company was very good to deal with and made any minor resolutions where they could. There was excellent customer service by the property manager and the guest services manager. If this property gets the attention it needs with something’s, I would definitely recommend it. I do feel confident the concerns I had are going to be resolved and would not be concerns for other renters. It was my first time to Kiawah Island and the Charleston area and I very much enjoyed my 10 days there and know I will be back in the future.

Very comfortable with a modern kitchen and lovely bathrooms in the four bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs bedroom is space and ideal for kids. Lovely home that we would return to.

Nicely decorated but that's about it
The little touches are what matter aside from a comfortable and clean place to stay. While it was clean and nicely decorated, the kitchen was sadly lacking. We had 9 people. There were 8 dishes and probably about 10 drinking glasses. I had to run the dishwasher after every meal until I just went out and bought paper plates. No tissues were provided along with no dish detergent, kitchen towels, kitchen dishcloth, paper towels (except what was left on the roll), laundry detergent and only two bathrooms had an extra roll of TP. And the outside spigot didn't have a hose so it was difficult to rinse off after coming in from the beach. I couldn't find a decent broom except a very poor garage push-broom whose bristles had long given up.
