Our 5th year spending a week here. As always, everything was perfect. Watching the grandkids swimming, fishing and having a blast. Hiking BSP. Just a great time every year.

The weather cooperated and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the beach and swimming in the lake. The cabin is well-appointed, so we didn't need to bring anything but food and drinks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the same camp we stayed at three years ago. The hosts are top notch in terms of responsiveness. The beach and location are fantastic. We hope to return!

This was just what we were looking for. Just enough to be comfortable. Cabin was well appointed with anything you could need. Very peaceful and quiet. There is something about a dirt road where everyone waves at each other that brings life back into focus. Tons of hiking and kayaking. Also did about 50 miles of bike riding. Only negative was mosquitoes but they weren’t constant. Didn’t even use a full bottle of bug spray over a week. Will be back again.

We so enjoyed our stay in this clean, cozy cabin on the lake. Heard the loons as we watched a spectacular sunset! Enjoyed delicious dining at River Drivers & Scootic In restaurants convenient to the cabin. Great local hiking!

This is a nice property with awesome sunsets. The road and driveway bumpy because of the very wet season we've had. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Swimming, fishing, hiking at BSP. Wish we could stay longer.

This was the third year which we stayed at the Rustic Cabin. The water was warm this year and we boated all over the 5 lakes. Baxter State Park is very close.

We had such a great week with our teenagers! Since there is no WiFi and limited cell service, we were able to connect in a way that rarely happens in our fast paced life. The cabin was perfect for games, naps, canoe rides and fun. Simple, clean, gorgeous views.
We will be back!

This clean, well-equipped, comfortable cabin is located on a pine-shaded hillside on its own beach within 20 minutes of Baxter State Park. The owner is helpful and responsive if needed. That was everything we need.

Wish I could have seen it on a sunny day. Well appointed for linens. Didn’t have staples or supplies like aluminum foil or plastic wrap, or extra paper towels. Space could have used additional side tables for recliner chairs. Essentially adequate. Rained every day with low cloud cover which limited views and visibility.

We had such a relaxing week. The description of being a "rustic" cabin does not mean you sacrifice cleanliness or quality, well maintained appliances, nice sheets and towels, comfortable beds ect. The cabin definitely exceeded our expectations! It's in such a convenient location for exploring the park, white water rafting and other local sights but also perfect all in itself for days we just wanted to relax. We loved the serene view, swimming in the lake and the sound of loons in the evening.

We used this lovely camp as a base for touring the region. If you don't have 4WD make sure to back into driveway as it is somewhat steep and unpaved. But definitely worth renting. If you don't know the area make sure to stop at Tourist Info to get maps and info. Extremely limited cell service at the camp.

We had such a comfortable and relaxing time! The cottage is clean and well provisioned, close to Baxter and several places to eat. The lake is literally steps away and we enjoyed seeing ducks, loons, and even a moose. Hope to come back again!

There were certain inconveniences, as no internet or television. On a hot day, no air conditioning, the bed and futon in the loft on a 90 degree day were hot, one big fan only. So, one should bring at least 2 extra fans Lots of black flies and mosquitos, so repellent necessary. If inside bug killer exists, should bring. Double bed in loft, beside it, is a futon, which is okay for one adult or 2 kids. A double bed in a closed door bedroom, the best bed, for one adult or 2 compatible people. A pull out couch in living room area, good for one adult or 2 compatible people and a another couch for small person to sleep on. Has a good heater for cold days and nights. Could use coffee cups, saw none. Suggest tin foil for grilling, or wrap food. Saw no fry pan. Bug lanterns outside would be a nice extra or bring yourself. One canoe, on rough waves, windy days might be risky. If you like fishing, and have your own fishing boat bring it. Nice sandy beach, There is a thick polyethylene like canvas on the outside entry grounds, which on a rainy day is slippery. A clothes line for drying wet clothes or towels needs a stronger rope. The view from the cabin out upon the lake is fantastic. Has nice dock going out to the water. Appliances are great, including refrigerator, washer and dryer. Shower stall very functional, limited hot water, for one perhaps, 2 people per 2 hours or so. Very clean accommodations. Very pleasant place, of course, nothing is perfect, but stay is enjoyable.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home away from home with us!
The views were spectacular and the beach area with fire pit was the absolute best to sit for coffee, read in the sun, launch our kayaks, or do some fishing.
The interior was very clean with unparalleled views. More room than we expected (gorgeous spacious living room!)
This is also an ideal “home base” for hiking in Baxter. We came in May and many trails in lower Baxter were open so we had fun exploring!
Wish we had more time here than just a spontaneous weekend away - hope to be back someday! Thank you again for welcoming us into your special place.

Nice little cabin on the lake with everything I needed. Great spot for exploring the area. Far enough away from town to feel secluded but still only a 15 minute drive to Millinocket proper. Bonus is that it’s closer to Baxter State Park than you would be in staying in town and you can take a paddle or catch a sunset right out the front door. Perfect for me!

The beach and view was spectacular, very private, so clean, we loved every minute except that we had to leave! We can’t wait to book it again with our newest grand baby addition.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. He kept telling me this property brought back happy childhood memories of visiting his grandparents’ camp in northern Maine.
We spent a lot of time relaxing by the lake just soaking up the scenery.
Very clean and I appreciated having use of a washer and dryer.

We loved this place, we used the canoe to go to the islands & hung out on the beach, I even jumped in the water & out as fast :-) cold but great. We hiked Mt Katahdin & having access was good, being close to Baxter State Park. Great open line to Carol but never needed to call.

Another great week made possible by the perfect spot. This is our favorite place to be. The cabin is just right, and Carol is always available if needed. Can't wait to go back next year!!

This was our third time staying here and despite the lousy weather for most of our stay, we had a great time. The camp is very cozy and the covered deck allowed us to enjoy time outside on the rainy days. This camp is always very clean and tidy. The sandy beach and dock are perfect. We love it here!

The property location allowed us spectacular views of Mt Katahdin, a beautiful sandy beach and was very peaceful. The cabin was awesome as well. It was incredibly clean and super comfortable. the outdoor porch was great, especially as we brought our 80-year-old Dad and my 65-year-old sister who physically challenged. They could not get to the beach as there is a slope to get there but they were quite content on the porch. our grandson caught a slew of fish off the dock and even landed a 5-pound largemouth bass, his biggest fish ever! It was a wonderful time with family! Our host was more than accommodating. The only thing we really missed was Wi-Fi and cell phone service.

Get off the grid if you choose and enjoy the best of Maine. Easy to get to stores, restaurants and Baxter State Park. The water and islands are beautiful and easy to access.

This property is meticulously clean and so welcoming! It's the perfect spot to relax with loved ones, or take a trip into Baxter. The views are spectacular and the sunsets are serene. I honestly could stay here forever! This was our second trip here because we loved it so much. It's our favorite place to be in Maine!

Delightful!
Our whole family loved this cabin and voted it as our favorite place we stayed while vacationing in Maine! The inside is cozy and comfortable, and the outdoor space is just perfect! There was plenty of space in the loft for our 3 kids, and they loved that they had their own area. The bathroom is huge, which is great since there’s only one. We loved being able to cook meals in the kitchen, play games in the living room, watch sunsets on the dock, play in the water, and relax along the shore. A great place to make memories for sure! And it’s proximity to Baxter State Park is wonderful! Highly recommend!
