If you are looking for a true Maine camp experience, this is the spot! Surrounded by pine trees, the camp itself provides everything you would need. The property has a sun deck and a dock for swimming among many other amenities. The shoreline has large rocks that are perfect for fishing. We had campfires at night so the kids could enjoy s'mores. Part of the porch is screened in for when the mosquitoes come out. Sebec Lake is clean and beautiful.
The host is extremely responsive and can answer any questions.
Highly recommend, especially for families with older, more independent children (6 and up).

We rented this property because it was in the path of totality for the solar eclipse. Despite soggy, and snowy (!) weather leading up to our stay, the property was in excellent shape. The lake may still have been frozen, but there was a very nice deck over the water, perfect for taking in the view. My family watched the eclipse from there--a quiet, awe-inspiring moment made better by the peaceful setting.
The living room space is lovely, and perfect for gathering together and chatting. The porch/deck was a perfect place to watch the sun set, and as a family of admitted nature-nerds, we appreciated sitting there in the morning, watching the early Spring changes in the woods and wildlife. We also like to cook when we're all together, and were pleased with how well laid out the kitchen was.
If you are looking for a peaceful place to visit with close friends or family, I'd highly recommend this location!

We traveled to Maine to visit family. Our stay at Kevin’s place was nice. We would definitely go back.

Our stay at "Peace and Tranquility" was relaxing and rejuvenating. Our host was gracious and helpful. We fell asleep for the sound of the call of the Loon. It doesn't get any better than that.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the house, the good supply of necessities & the lake was very calming!
The host is very pleasant & quick to respond if you need anything. The packet he has explaining things is very detailed. Looking forward to going back again next year!!

July 4th-July8th 2023
Our family had a great time this week. The cabin was very comfortable and the views were amazing. We swam, kayaked, fished and relaxed while at the cabin. The kids loved letting the fish nibble on fingers and toes while hanging out in the water. Just hang on to the end of the dock and the fish will come. We found that the fish loved to eat the horse flies that we killed while out of the water…sweet revenge on the flies (there were not that many BTW)! While swimming, we saw a Mink (or two) running down the shore line with a mouse it had caught. The Loons calling at dusk and dawn was very satisfying to hear since we don’t see too many of these birds in Virginia. Per Kevin’s recommendation we visited Silver Creek BBQ in Monson. The steak and cheese sandwich was next level (smoked steak) and the sausage sandwich with kraut was killer (locally made sausage, kraut and mustard). The people who work there were really nice and it was like we had known them for a long time. It was worth the drive! We loved our time at the cabin and the experiences we had will be a lasting memory for our family.

This cabin was everything I could imagine. There was a beautiful living room, bedroom, kitchen, and a patio at the dock. I could go anywhere throughout the cabin to relax or enjoy the view. At night, there is little to no light pollution. The stars in the sky were absolutely majestic. There was plenty of games at the cabin incase you’re closed in on a rainy day. The bluetooth surround sound speakers were also really amazing! I would definitely come back here in the future!

What a special corner of Maine to spend time with family on the lake. We loved the location and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, watching the sun set from the lakeside porch and sitting around the stone fireplace in the Living Room playing board games. The sauna is especially nice after a long day hiking! Thank you, Kevin!

My partner and I stayed here for just 3 nights and we would have loved to have stayed longer. This is truly a special place...just what we needed. It was actually more than the 2 of us needed, but we didn't mind! We hiked at Peaks-Kenney and Borestone and swimming felt so great after. It is a perfect spot to swim. For the majority of the time, we felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. We didn't get to see one of the beautiful sunsets, because it was cloudy, but our evening that we spent sitting on the deck right on the water was heaven...so peaceful and what a view. We had everything we needed for our stay and communication with the host was perfect. Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your amazing lake home!

What an amazing stay...perfect getaway!!!
From the moment we walked up to the property we felt right at home. The inside and out are just beautiful and it was the perfect spot for our very intimate wedding. There were so many amazing photo opportunities as the property has everything you can imagine. The sunsets at night were just gorgeous. Definitely this would be my perfect getaway and retirement home. Communication was great with Kevin also. A few people that we met in the community were helpful, very proud of their town (as they should be) and just sweet as pie!!! We definitely will be back!!! 😁❤️

Wonderful location & outdoor spaces, very nice rustic cabin!
This location on Sebec Lake is awesome. A long dock for boating, fishing and swimming- 15' depth is perfect for diving and jumping. Three kayaks, life jackets and noodles are supplied. A big deck almost on the water is fabulous. A big firepit, just a bit further away from the lake, is very nicely put together, with a massive supply of wood nearby. Another little deck area near the house is a bit inexplicable- an old hot tub spot? Another big sitting area on the other side of the house is cute but not really that appealing or practical. In the house itself, there is a very large porch overlooking the lake, half screened, half open- perfect!! BBQ trout there. Very comfortable with beautiful views westward,- sunsets are excellent!
The Great Room has a majestic fieldstone fireplace and comfortable sofas and chairs, with a nice TV for DVDs. The kitchen is well stocked and quite modern. There are two bedrooms (one queen bed ea)- comfortable & okay. An open area has six bunk beds- rustic, but okay. Two bathrooms- okay. It was very hot in mid July, and quite buggy, so it was quite unfortunate that the screens were a bit lacking, 92°... 5 windows had no screens. But there were plenty of fans!
All in all, a fabulous spot and a very nice cabin and facilities!

Relaxation at its finest!
We had a wonderful time at Kevin’s place! The lake was absolutely beautiful as was the house. There was everything you could possibly need even fans which came in handy on our above 90 day! Couldn’t have asked for a better time. Also Kevin was super fast responding to any questions we had.

Heaven on earth!
This was one of the best vacations ever! We spent a relaxing 11 days on beautiful Sebec Lake at Chasse Camp. Kevin Chasse was an attentive and helpful host. He gave us just the right amount of space while making himself available when needed. The cabin was gorgeous, perfectly appointed, and in a setting that can only be described as heaven on earth. The sunsets over the lake were breathtaking. The early morning mist was stunning. We loved the beautiful fireplace and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! I highly recommend staying at this lovely, spacious, and beautiful camp to anyone who wants to get away from it all and be in absolutely idyllic surroundings.

Great stay at Chasse Camp!
Kevin’s spot is second to none. What a fantastic place and a great host. Kevin was always in communication and came by one of the days to meet us and grab some trash. The morning coffees overlooking the lake, unbelievable sunsets in the evening. Just a wonderful getaway in the beauty of Maine. Can’t wait to get back up there next year. Thanks for a great stay Kevin! Such a fantastic spot!

Our Private Lake in Maine
Most beautiful lake view/sunsets we have ever seen, period. Even rain storms occasionally rolling in across the lake were spectacular. We kayaked, canoed, swam in the lake, fished off the dock (admittedly caught only a few small fish but still fun), sat around multiple late afternoon and evening camp fires and just generally enjoyed the peace, tranquility and loon calls at night. We were there for 23 nights and never got tired of the beauty. Sometimes we felt like this big lake was all ours, except a few quiet fishermen way off in the distance.
You’ll not be going out for dinner unless you’re willing to drive 45 minutes to an hour or more each way, but we figured that out beforehand and really enjoyed our sunset home cooked simple dinners. Day trips to Monson or Greenville are worthwhile (a few nice places for lunch and interesting shops) but really, nothing beats Chasse Camp on the lake.
And the owner, Kevin, was a pleasure to deal with, took care of any small issues we encountered and gets 5 stars himself.

Peaceful time on the lake
Chasse camp is a great destination for those wanting a serene and peaceful vacation. The lake is magnificent. The camp provides all the necessities, bedding, towels, life vests, kitchen accoutrements, and paper products. We put the fire pit to nightly use (wood also provided) and enjoyed a fantastic view of the Persius meteor shower. We have enjoyed Chasse camp two summers in a row and intend to be back next year.

A great lakefront house
We had a terrific stay at this cabin on Sebec Lake. It was perfect for our family of four. There was plenty of sleeping space and the house came equipped with everything that we needed. We had a great time kayaking around the lake, fishing off of the dock, jumping in to swim, and one night with an outside fire. Kevin was a great host and we would recommend this opportunity for lakeside living to anyone.

Perfect vacation cabin
The Chasse camp was the perfect lakeside retreat! It was clean, comfortable & well equipped for a family vacation by the lake. We spent most of our time on the dock, the deck by the dock or in the screened porch. We explored the lake on kayaks & jumped off the deep water dock. Kevin was attentive & helpful. We appreciated Kevin giving us access the his beautiful camp & unforgettable location, the sunsets were unbelievable.

Perfect Week
We had wonderful, peaceful week at this beautiful lakefront home. Caught some fish, read some books, sat by the fire (wood provided!), played some cards, and watched some beautiful sunsets. Kevin maintains his camp extremely well and was very helpful and accommodating throughout our time there. We hope to return someday! :)

Great Remote Lakeside Getaway
Sebec is a beautiful less populated Maine Lake and a great place to relax and disconnect. The camp provides everything you need inside and out to fully enjoy this beautiful setting.

Awesome lake experience
Chasse camp is beautiful and well equipped. Because of the pandemic, we stayed put at the camp, cooking all our meals. The only thing missing from the kitchen was paddles for the electric hand mixer, but there were whisks. The lake was truly awesome, bottomless, and surprisingly temperate. We swam and kayaked numerous times a day. At night we enjoyed the firepit and the amazing night sky. We will certainly return to Chasse camp.

Wonderful week on Sebec
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Chasse camp on Sebec Lake. The camp itself was spacious and comfortable, with wonderful views of the lake. The screened in porch was a favorite place for enjoying a cup of coffee at the start of the day, or for watching the sun set. The water at Sebec is beautifully clear, and the docks at the Chasse camp are large, stable and well maintained. Kevin Chasse was quick to respond to emails and texts before and during our stay. A great vacation for the family.

Amazing place!!
I can’t say enough great things about our stay! The house was spacious yet cozy, equipped with everything you need from the essentials to kayaks, floating dock and let’s not forget the incredible view!! WiFi/service is spotty, but that was not an issue for us. Having spent the quality time here with my family was by far the best. Also the owner was very attentive, informative and generous. Definitely one of our favorite vacations!

Childhood memories
Kevin was a delight to work with. His property was well maintained and kept clean. The location is remote enough for peace and quite, but close enough to Dover-Foxcroft for groceries and supplies. The dock was a great place for my kids to swim off of, and the lower deck was great to view the sunsets from. Serenity at its best, and now keepsake memories for my children to enjoy and cherish. Thanks Kevin for the hospitality and sharing your wonderful camp with us in July of 2019!

Big Lake Solitude
We loved every minute of our time at Chasse camp (5 adults, 2 children). Being from the region originally, we chose Chasse camp due to its location on the lake, amenities, and support from Kevin Chasse. Chasse Camp far exceeded our expectations due to its developed outside layout in addition to the camp itself. Recommendation: While a boat is not a necessity, bring or secure a powerboat or sailboat to enjoy the beauty of Sebec Lake from many viewpoints. Thanks Kevin! - Skip Chase Murphy

Stunning natural beauty with a well laid out camp.
Had a really great time at this cabin the owner Kevin is good at responding to all needs and questions. The property had a Kayack on site but if you like to fish other than standing on the dock you'll need to rent or bring a small boat. Lake is clean and clear and fishing is great once you find the right place to drop a line. For me this was a great place to stay if it had a better boat I may have never left!

Camp Chasse
A nice outfitted kitchen, fans provided in each room, linens provided, w & d provided, garbage and recycles collected and removed by owner, comfortable living room, beautiful view out screen porch, great dock and kayak provided. Would have been 5 stars but guests upstairs complained that the skylights let the sunlight in around 4:30 AM. We enjoyed the firepit and the hammock. Thanks for a great week.
