location great on the course
ran out of gas, one of the toilets was blocked

Comfortable and spacious
We didn’t have hot water in the morning and gas stove was not working properly- did alert the team but couldn’t help in time as we also had to depart early

Location
The house is very nice,opposite the dam and very cold. On booking.com it states that they have electric blankets but they dont have. On the day of arrival we got a message notifying us that area is cold and we must bring extra blankets. Surely they can keep extra blankets for guests. Flying with extra blankets was not ideal. On arrival there was no electricity,Eskom fault in the area. It was extremely cold and starting fire takes time.
The following day we demanded to be moved to another property. They agreed and no extra cost.
The whole experience was horrible and something you dont want when on holiday.
The bedding not that great,upgrade needed.

It is a great house and in an excellent location. We have stayed before and have booked in December
We have stayed here and in other Gowrie properties. Unfortunately this time there was no inverter and the power went out at 9 for two hours. When we stayed before there was an inverter. We were not told there would not be one and would have bought lights etc. they also must fix the whole
Fireplace set up with the hole that goes through above the fire place . It is drafty and looks bad and lest the rest of the house down.

awesome house!! pure luxury and extremely private!! great for family vacation. facilities were exactly as stated and host communication was first class! and most of all no load shedding with inverter!!

Full advance payment was made including a further R3,000 breakage deposit and suddenly our booking was cancelled hours before arrival. We arrived in the Midlands without accommodation for 6 people. Spent the first day seeking alternate accommodation and then having to make payment again!! Not the way to start our weekend with our family and guests.

It was our second stay at this property. We love the house and location, snowfall was a bonus. Perfect house for 2 families with kids. Ladies who serviced the house were very pleasant! We will be back again
Toilet seat broken. It was freezing, so maybe more heaters required in addition to floor heating. (maybe towel rail heater?) Bigger geyser required as hot water runs out quickly.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay at the house, we will definitely be back again!

Everything was great!
Just a couple of tiny things - the toilet seat in the main bedroom kept shifting and is too small.
The small towel rail in the main bathroom kept falling off.
Otherwise perfect - thank you.

Overall the house is good
Cleanliness was not good. When we arrived, the scullery bin was not emptied and still had the previous guests' waste.
On one of the days while we were there, the bins were not emptied and dirty rags were left on one of the tables.
Sheets and towels had stains and some holes too.
