The hotel is located a short walking distance from Shijo Karasuma station which connects you to Kyoto station in around 6 minutes, and a big bus terminal makes it easy to go anywhere within the city. The building itself, as well as the facilities and rooms, are very chic and moderate, with a relaxed vibe. I chose this hotel because I have already stayed at Resol in another part of the city and I love the interior of the rooms complete with tatami mats on top of all the other usual amenities you could expect. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, the design of the rooms outstanding and value for money is amazing. Really very recommendable hotel in all aspects, staff is extremely polite and attentive as well.

I have really nothing to add here, the pictures speak for themselves and you get everything that the description promises - the hotel is chic, clean, quiet and well located.

Meget rent med fine faciliteter som gratis kaffe/cacao samt fri benyttelse af mikroovn. Det er muligt selv at benytte vaskemaskine/tørretumbler meget billigt ( 400 yen ialt for 30 min vask og 30 min tørring) Få af personalerne taler godt engelsk og er meget hjælpsomme.

Madrasserne for hårde til min smag og i et “twin-room” ligger madrasserne side om side, og sengerammen kan ikke skilles ad.

Me hubiera gustado experimentar un desayuno típico y el desayunador era con estilo italiano, pero todo era muy rico. Llegaba olor a cigarrillo a la ventana de la habitación porque abajo había un patio para fumadores.

The self-check-in worked well - the process of getting your room goes very quickly. The negative of that is it is pretty impersonal - you never really talk to anyone associated with the hotel. The hotel is in a good location for catching buses to various attractions. The rooms are a bit small with no drawers or closet space, but the beds were comfortable and it was quiet.

- Room are a bit small - Depending on where you are located in the hotel probably, no views and so not sunlight (although a good work has been done with artificial lights) - Bathrooms looking a bit “cheap” - Housekeeping done only once every 2 days (but they still give you new towels and goodies and clean-up the trash) - No room service

The location is good, within walking distance from the Shiji subway Karasuma station. There are plenty of convenience stores around the area and also a couple of coin laundry places around if you are unable to use the 2 washing machines at the hotel. The size of the room is a little small, you would not be able to open your big luggages fully if you have more than one. But it is still comfortable with power points at each side of the bed. The staff are polite and do their best to answer your queries. Lots of dining options around the hotel.
