Amazing pool and common area, decent breakfast, room good size and not noisy even though we stayed during carnival

Bed was like a plank of wood, no hot water.

The history of the hotel

Our room was clean and comfortable! The pool manager works very hard to clean the pool regulary.

We booked this hotel soley for the pool and were disappointed to arrive in the heat and discover that the entire pool deck and lounge was taken over for an 8 year old birthday party for the whole day so the pool, deck etc was unusable. It was very loud with multiple blaring speakers and kids running wild. The hotel rents the pool out to the public and for parties so there were an additional 70 people from the party taking over the pool and entire lounge area. Don't count on the pool being relaxing and just for hotel guests.

I like Almost everything. The atmosphere was amazing and the pool was great. They have really good service. I give it around an 8.5/10. It's a really pretty place. The food was above average.

The shower was so weird it was weak at first and than stronger a bit later. Also the internet to the room. The wifi couldn't sometimes reach our room and it was super weak at times. If your going to get a room don't get it near the end of the hotel.

I asked for some water. They never came in. Also charged a coffee twice but it was resolved. The restaurant closes early

I didnt like that guest were not allowed to enter the room. Even if just visiting.

The staff and garden are the best part of this hotel. The breakfast needs a bit more variety but it’s ok.

It was a disappointment from the moment we step foot in the hotel. Only good thing was restaurant on site which was good value for money.

This building is old and in bad need of refurbishment. As soon as you get step in the hotel you know the photos weer probably taken many years ago. Perhaps when it was first build. The lift is super old and the door doesn't even shut properly. I was very cared using it. The room was mouldy with leak everywhere. There was a stale smell. The curtains missing hooks and hanging. The furniture was old but looked like it was never cleaned. When I asked reception to move us to another room I was offered a similar neat up room if not worse. I contacted booking.com who was helpful and we were moved into a better room which actually I had seen on the booking app when I booked. The corridor outside the room had walls that had a leak and were mouldy. Though the room was better it wasn't clean the toilet soap dish looked like it was used when we checked in. Paid higher price for this so called 3 star hotel as wanted a pool. The pool water was murky with lot of twigs and leaves. This hotel urgently needs to have extensive refurbishment especially to sort the water leak and mould. The service also needs to be stepped up. We eventually checked into a 4 star hotel part of a global chain and paid only £1 more per night for much better service. To make things worse the immediate neighbourhood is not very safe.

Without question, the best hotel in Barranquilla. Excellent location (close to Carnival events), beautiful pool, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds. The owner - Pedro - really went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed: Pedro is a genuinely good human being - staying in his hotel feels like being a guest in his own home. This was my second stay - looking forward to my third!

The staff were super helpful and attentive, the breakfast was good quality and had enough variety. The pool area is lovely, it’s definitely the best part about the hotel.

The room was disappointing, it was spacious but compared to the photos it wasn’t what you would expect. The decor was tired and some of it unfinished, like raw door frames. It had really cheap roller blinds but you could see the fittings where there used to be curtains. Also the windows were filthy!!

Great pool and terrasse for meals. Staff helpful and friendly! Good size rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was good but could be a bit better. you can ask for a towel for the pool. Location ok if you want to enjoy the carnaval.

Price a bit high for Colombia but it was during carnaval so it makes sense. The water could be hot for the price! Hotel was a bit far from the cash point.
