I booked a room in the hotel and got a room somewhere in the garage, in a different building. The way to the room looked like a construction site, not a hotel. The booking was paid in advance and was non refundable so we had no option than to stay there.

Room was lovely and spacious, with very nice bathroom (small shower - to be very critical!)
Staff were brilliant. Owner (i think) she was lovely and friendly, helpful. Other staff was again very friendly and attentive (male)

The aircondition is noisy and stops in the middle of the night and the air gets very hot because all windows are closed.

Honestly, I think it was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to really many hotels (only this month around 15). The location is perfect! It’s 1 minute from the train station and 4 minutes to the lake. The stay was very comfortable as you get the impression that you’re not in the hotel, but at home, it’s very private! The balcony was large and the view was amazing. Cinzia, the lady at the reception, was one of the most positive people I’ve seen in Italy this year! I don’t like coming back to the same place, but I would definitely come back to this city and to this hotel!
Personal advice: if you’re planning to take the Bernina Express, it’s a great idea to stop in Colico for a few days.

The breakfast was nice. They offered to prepare coffee and scrambled eggs. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist offered to stay a little bit later to wait for us since we arrived late in the night.

The location was great - very near the lake and convenient if you arrive by train
No option for warming the room ( it was unseasonably rainy and cold) the staff did try but were unable to help

Very friendly, very nice room, shower for tall people, great breakfast, covered parking for the motorcycle. Happy all around.

Very friendly staff, exceptional breakfast, centrally located and beautiful view of the mountains. TV included English speaking news channels.
There was not anything that we didn’t like about this property.
