The hostel was exceptional. Excellent staff. The room was beautiful. Lovely shared facilities. Would work well for families/couples/friends. Really kind staff who went above and beyond for us. We left something precious and the staff helped liaise with where we left it and even helped us afterwards by couriering it to us. So thankful! Thank you very much! Would definitely recommend this hostel. Helpful at arranging tours. Easy location near lots of food areas in Legazpi.

I did not have breakfast except the morning of checking out. I wanted a nice and easy breakfast, cornflakes cereals with fresh milk , just before I was leaving for my early morning flight. No problem at all , which Gerson happily got the table set for me , very early in the morning , like 4am.. Gerson is the trusted person, of BALAI TINAY. The lady proprietor (Gin) , is very accommodating and nothing is a problem at all. She did everything to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as it possibly can. They offer a personal service that you usually can’t find staying in big hotels . The whole of BALAI TINAY is a beautiful and delightful place to stay . You go up to the top floors to have a direct view of the incredible Mt. Mayon , the world’s most perfect cone.

The only thing that’s a minus is the road going to the property. It’s a little narrow that it could be just a little wider.

Very homey feeling. Groceries are just a few minutes away if you wish to buy for cold beer and food. You may also ask a breakfast prepared in advance. Our car is safely park inside the good community. Internet and TV are at your comfort inside your room or even at the common big sala. Coffee and water are available 24/7.

Could not think of what I do not like. But maybe missing the Cooler and their cold beers, anyway we could order outside.

We like the essence of privacy and a home like atmosphere. The staff are very good as expected, very helpful. TV, Air-conditioning, clean rooms and everything around is well organized. The view of the Mayon Tip is a plus.

They dont offer cold drinks anymore. Not a Big Deal.

A hidden gem of a place. Initially difficult to reach and deceptively plain from outside, but opened up to a truly wonderful place to stay with a memorable view of Mayon. Felt welcomed and at home. We were well taken cared of and provided everything we needed. Staff was excellent. The place is thoughtfully, carefully, and lovingly designed — every utensil, appliance, linen, and piece of furniture is just so lovely. The whole ambiance offers food for the soul.
