They made me to pay for the linen that got dirty... Had to pay an extra R100. Pool was dirty couldn't swim

Very friendly hosts, beautiful garden with relax area. A lot of activities and restaurants nearby. Descent wifi and amenities. Make sure to drive in neighborhood during evening to spot hippos Would also recommend the massage shop near wimpies, we did the Full couples treatment.

Our time was to short. Ha ha Make sure to book 3 days, since there is a lot to do. Nearby beach is dirty and windy, don't go there

Henne and ilza are the most wonderful hosts. The hotel is beautiful, in African style with deep dark trim and furniture. Breakfast is great, the pool is refreshing. I loved the honor bar, so I could grab a beer at any time. Just a great place to stay

Relaxing accommodation. Hennie and Elize were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. They booked all our activities for us which eliminated the Hassel of phing around and making bookings. I really appreciated that.

There is no wifi coverage from the pool area... but that is a small thing

everything was high quality. Bed was firm, very comfortable and seriously good quality mattress. Furniture was local artisan ultra high quality. There was not a single item in the rooms and rest of lodge that were low quality or substandard. A lot of resources have been put into this property. Breakfasts were freshly cooked, seasoned well and cooked to everyone’s liking. Proper coffee served, real butter and milk/cream choice for tea & coffee. Swimming pool was tiered so that non swimmers had their paddling area with second tier deep enough for children to bomb & jump! The garden was a botanists dream with tropical indigenous species attracting plenty of bird life. 4-5 species of Hornbills seen / heard each morning. Ambience it certainly is.

We were looking for a peaceful and quite place to spend a night and we did found one and it met our expectations, pool very clean and we could and we did swam at our own will, beautiful , clean and well looked after garden. Overall beautiful area, enjoyed the feel of nature, friendly host in Hennie and Ilzer including the backroom ladies, lovely breakfast as well, Will definitely be back,

Not sure if they do and if there was any mosquito repellent around the pool area, that would make a huge difference more especial during the time of the year with lots of buzzing around, otherwise advise visitors to bring theirs..other than that, everything was perfect, 10/10 for me Thanks again

The property is well located, with trees and shrubs bringing us closer to nature. well maintained and nicely decorated.

Ilze and Hennie were so amazing hosts and their place is just fab. Both had a lot of really good recommendations and they organised all the things and helped us a lot. We had a perfect stay here. Ilze and Hennie are helpful, kind and nice. The environment is nice, beautiful garden and typical decoration within the house. The breakfast was amazing and Ilze and Hennie gave us a lot of information. It was also really nice that there was a possibility to buy a drink in the evening. Thanks Hennie&Ilze (and staff)!!

African Ambience definitely lived up to its reputation. The actual setting and is really lovely. A nice enclosed garden with a jungle like feel to it, exotic plants and a nice pool. The house is built in a unique style which really sets it apart from other guest houses. Ilze and Hennie were super friendly and helpful and did their utmost to make guests feel at home and they are knowledgable about things to do in the area. Also Hennie gave really clear info on arrival. Really great breakfast. Plenty of it and Ilze and Hennie gave it their personal touch. Enjoyed their home baking. I definitely want to come back and recommend this lovely guest house to anyone who appreciates a warm atmosphere and good value. Thanks Hennie and Ilze. Hope to bring the family one day.

I have never experienced such a lovingly furnished guest house. Attention was paid to every detail. The host couple is incredibly nice and takes care of all the little things. I am blown away and totally recommend this guesthouse.

It is a wonderful place,, magic, , amazing, surrounded by a beautiful nature, gardens, very accessible and excellent attendance.. we recommend this accommodation to everyone.. you will enjoy it

it is not due to facility, annoying load shedding. but there is generator to cover minimum electricity. very good

An absolutely amazing place to stay. Ilze and Hennie where most helpful and really friendly and give us all nessesary information for our stay. Also they help to organise all activities which we would like to do. Comfortable and clean room. Lovely breakfast with a different, delicious fresh fruit dish each day. The site layout provides privacy for each room within a tropical garden setting. Very safe place.

There was nothing at all to dislike and can't think of anything that would improve it.

The hosts were friendly and informative. Room was great and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall we had a great stay with great people. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.
