Nothing

When I called to collect keys the person who answered in Portugese handed the phone to another person who spoke almost no English and told me to drive to the Palace ( we were on the street the apartment is in). When we got there I phoned and eventually he answered and was even more unintelligable. Told me to wait - presumably while he tried to find someone who could speak English. I held on for 5 minutes and all I could hear was background noise. I hung up and tried again- this time same person and unclear again. The location of the Apartment looked horrible and we were stressed out by the rude unwelcoming calls. So we drove back 3.5 hours to the Algarve. Absolutely awful.

The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and clean, the staff was nice, the food in their restaurant is also good, and I liked the place in general.

When I booked this place I thought it was an entire house for me, without any other guests (that's what we understand with the word "apartamentos"). When I arrived I found out it was just a private bedroom with a bathroom, but It was in a flat together with some other bedrooms and guests. There was a living room that every guest could use. I think the correct name would be "hostel" or something like that.

Be warned of the long, steep stairway to your apartment. You can skip gym if you carry your bags all the way up! The apartment is in dire need of renewal/refurbishment.
