Location was perfect! View was amazing. Cave accomodations were quintessential. Hostess was super helpful before and during stay.

Overall cleanliness, excess dust & hair everywhere from previous guests or not, I don’t know?? Stelios and Vasiliki were both great hosts. Stelios responded promptly and Informatively whenever contacted.

Vanda was a very nice host, the app was spacious and clean and good air conditioning , great sunset (early September not in the sea but behind the island Thirasia)

The apartment itself has no view- you have to climb some stairs to get to the terrace with a stunning view and shade in the morning - it is private but people live behind and nearby - what is somehow normal in Fira

The villa was beautiful, well-equipped, and well-maintained. The air conditioning kept the communal spaces cool. It was sparklingly clean, thanks to the wonderful cleaner who came daily. Vanda was brilliant upon our arrival, talking us through all the local villages and recommending a fantastic private tour. The complimentary bottles of water and wine were much appreciated! The correspondence with our hosts before our visit was also very kind. The upstairs terrace had amazing views of the Caldera and was sunny pretty much all day. The location was very close to Fira centre’s restaurants and shops, but still quite peaceful, especially at night. The beds were super comfortable, there were plenty of plush towels, and we loved the robes/slippers too! The landline phone for making local calls was an added bonus, as were all the utensils in the kitchen.

It was a little hard to find initially, but the hosts were very responsive to messages which helped! There is also no direct road access to the house, so pickups/drop offs for airport transfers, tours etc have to be arranged for a nearby pickup point (usually the supermarket) this is only a minute or two’s walk away though. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms themselves, but that is understandable due to the logistics of a cave house, and wasn’t really an issue in the end (we just kept the bedroom doors open during the day)
