The host Mr Mahapatra and his son were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make my visit to Konark memorable. For dog lovers - they have a super friendly young white Pom. For those who fear dogs - needn't worry he is mostly on a leash and completely harmless.

I didn't expect a five star and what I got was good value for money. So I can say that all was fine.

The location and the host. The Sun temple is at walkable distance from the lodge. The host was very polite, courteous, and helpful. He even let us use his moped to travel to the beach, very kind of him.

The location of the Labanya Lodge is around 500 meters from the Sun temple and is very close to the restaurant Atithi. From Labanya lodge one can easily walk to the Sun temple or can take an Auto Rickshaw to reach it. Similarly one can reach the Chandrabhaga beach easily from this lodge. The courteous behaviour of the staff of this lodge is commendable. Loved the serenity of this place.

We had not opted for breakfast so can't comment on it. The host was very friendly and helpful. There was a family atmosphere during our stay which we liked very much.

In coming Jawed cyclone mared our stay as no public transport was available to go outside Konark. We hired an auto to go to Puri.

There was everything available, this place has a huge balcony and a good view over the roads and the forests nearby and the best part is, konark sun temple is just on the walking distance, you can park your vehicle inside their place and walk to the sun temple and this place gives you the good view of the sunrise, overall this is a good place for the family

Its a very basic accomodation. Neat and clean Excellent garden. Very quiet and calm. Just 200 m from the temple. Friendly staff.
