Accueil parfait, lit très confortable, très bon emplacement

The appartment is well located next to the castle of Guimaraes. The appartment inside is really nice and has a part next to big windows where you can relax. The welcome was really friendly and warm with useful information. Highly recommended!!

Our host, Ana, was terrific. She communicated well through Booking.com messaging, and provided her WhatsApp number if we needed to reach her for anything. She gave me a tour of the apartments features and advised me on where to direct my husband to find free parking close by temporarily until space became available on the street in front. The apartment was adorable and had everything we needed for our stay, It was very easy to walk into the historical center and take advantage of all the restaurants, cafes, and sites on offer. We would be happy to stay here again!

The studio apartment met all of our needs to have the opportunity to live as locals. We had been tourists in Guimaraes in 2021 and wanted to experience what life might be like if we lived there. The property owners and staff were always welcoming and helpful, answering our questions about the area and helping us understand the local culture.

Location: Close to the historic center. Easy access by car. We have prepared a breakfast ourselves but we saw a café serving breakfast just over a corner. Hotel: An old building in a line of the city walls (actually it was constructed of the large granite blocks recycled from city walls) contains a modern apartment. The reception few doors upward the street in a real estate intermediary office of the same name. Apartment: located at ground floor, consists of a small bedroom, a bathroom, a large living room with a fully equipped kitchenette (including a refrigerator) and a patio with a yard (there is another apartment located at the upper level). Lot of space for your belongings, regular dining table and chairs; electric sockets: many, with good access, also near the bed; lighting: very good. Bed: large and comfortable, fills all bedroom. Bathroom: average in size, regular electric socket, enough space for toiletries. Enough space in a shower cabin. WiFi: very good. Staff: good communication, we have got some tourist information leaflets that helped us visiting the town. Parking: Free street parking. There is lot of empty space late afternoon, we could park just front of the door of the apartment.

Just minor things. Room: bag racks would make the apartment more comfortable, nevertheless there is lot of space to put your bags on the floor. Bathroom: no heating (not a problem in summer, but may be a problem in winter). A small shelf in the shower cabin would be helpful.

I did not like the lack of water in the toilet at night and the smell of an unventilated house.

Very nice apartment close to the old town and castle.
