My husband and I stayed at Hush for 8 nights, and, our experience was just wonderful, the property is so beautiful and clean, you can stay in the pool area all day, enjoy the best view in town or watch the sunset, they have great food and drinks, we had the best massage ever while listening to the ocean sounds, they offer yoga practice every morning, surfing lessons with top instructors or even go horseback riding (we had so much fun on that day!). Highly recommend, will definitely be back! Thanks for having us and made us feel at home!

The double beds in the dorm are quite small for two people and not really confortable. Also the bathroom was a bit unclean. So in the end you pay mostly for the nice view and common area, which is ok. Also the place can get quite crowded in the evenings since a lot of non-guest show up for the sunset or dinner.

We loved every moment of our stay at Hush! It was absolutely amazing! The staff is so accommodating, the rooms are great, the views are second to none, and the food was delicious and very well priced. The staff were friendly and fun. I would visit here again in a heart beat! I watched amazing bird life right from the upper deck/canopy area.

Nothing, everything was superb.

The location is stunning, just above the playa maderas surf spot. easy to reach by a 10-15min walk. The food was 10/10. Don‘t expect too much local style meals, but it was always really tasty!

Showers and sink work with salty water from an underground source, it‘s a little weird in the beginning, but you get used to it - all the fittings in the bathroom don‘t - salt, water and air is a bad combination and the reason why they‘re corroded quite a bit.

Great location and fabulous view! A trail to a spectacular beach (10 minute walk) with several beach bars. The food at Hush was good.

We knew it was a hostel but… repairs/ maintenance/upkeep is required. The linens were stained and had holes. The curtains did not cover the windows, nor were there no screens (although the bugs weren’t bad). The common area (dining, lounge/pool area) was not cleaned for 5 days. If you don’t like dogs beware - there were frequently 4-5 dogs running around the common/dining area.

Hush is very well run by two lovely ladies, who also have great staff working there. Food is also great. There are yoga mats available and sunrise yoga on the roof terrace with the view over the ocean is amazing. We were sad to leave.

Awesome views, beautiful place, magnificent sunsets. Be aware that the hostel is quite remote, so it takes about 30 minutes+ from the town to get there, we loved it though. The food there is awesome and for the price you pay the quality is very good.

Bathroom of room with pool view needs a make over and the water should get somehow unsalted.

It is a bit far from San Juan del Sur, but it is a beautiful place, the road is a bit bad.

The views, the views and the views!! The sunsets from the rooftop. The great food and even better deserts. Theres a little jungle track down to the beach which is super fun with heaps of crabs, birds, butterflies and we even seen a tarantula! Also the garden is so chill!

So the water from the taps (showers and sinks) is really bad. It tastes sort of salty sort of chemically. Wasnt really nice to shower with and you surely wouldnt want to brush your teeth with it. Also the bathroom never smelt nice, even after cleaning so must be a deeper problem. When we arrived the pool was green from all the dirt from the roof that came down in the pool from all the rain. They were cleaning it for the next 2 days which was a bit of a shame but didnt bother us to much. There also were some other repairs. The dorm beds dont offer much privacy and also no sockets near the bed.

Food is excellent, Staff is friendly and the view is out of this world

it’s in really good location. the stuff is really nice and even tho we had problems with ac the manager made it up to us and that was really nice, cause you can see that they do care about their customers. also the food is really good there and the view is breathtaking

the water in the pool had not really pleasant after smell on your body, also some stuff in the hotel wear off so they need to fix it. because when you have this view, the small details makes it look bad

Breakfast was great, morning staff was kind and the vibe is always satisfying, views are its forté and closer to one of the best beaches in Nicaragua

I know foreigners throw the paper into the toilet maybe the advises could be a bit more bigger or visible or like a poster with the rules, the toilets were stuck bc of the paper and we had to ask for help, colder beers pls

It was one of my favorite places to stay :) Everything was exceptional, the sunsets there were some of the most beautiful I had ever seen, and the food was excellent (amazing vegan selection). The staff was so nice and helpful. I met there wonderful new friends who also travel alone. I would definitely like to come back here again

The views here are unbelievable, the staff are so friendly, the pool at sunset is beautiful, the private rooms are big, the coworking areas are great, I met some amazing people here, and you're super close to Playa Maderas. I had a car so it made the trek up the hill a lot easier. If you don't have transport, it will be a lot more difficult to get around, although there is a regular shuttle.

If you don't have transport, it could be difficult to get around and it's a steep walk up the hill. That's it though. The rest was great.

Top of cliff combined with the winds makes for extremely loud nights and reduced sleep. Also could offer more organized activities.
