This is our 4th visit to Evora over the last 15 years and our most memorable one. We brought along friends from Canada thar had never visited Portugal before and they both loved the experience!

Bellissima struttura, arredata con gusto e attenzione. Personale alla reception disponibile, sorridente e in grado di dare indicazioni utili per la visita della città.
La nostra camera era molto spaziosa, il letto grande e confortevole, la biancheria del letto curata e di valore
Tutto ottimo, se proprio dovessi trovare qualcosa da migliorare direi che sarebbe utile se le cameriere della colazione capissero un po' di inglese in modo da evitare confusione nelle ordinazioni, problema comunque relativo perchè con gentilezza e disponibilità hanno gestito tutte le nostre richieste

The hotel is located in a very convenient location, both by car and by foot it is easily accessible.
The lobby area, the garden, and the hotel's overall design are lovely.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and made a great first impression.
Our room was clean and also comfortable.
Breakfast food is also on the higher quality and delicious side. Especially the tomato jam :)

Le manque de placard de rangement, minibar place dans le placard mais vide mais branché, le coffre fort sans serrure dans le même placard.
Fuite dans la douche occasionnant une inondation à chaque douche.

We really enjoyed our time at the Albergaria do Calvario! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. We made the right choice to stay in a Deluxe Double Room (which the hotel also calls a Superior Room), with a pleasantly spacious bedroom. The bathroom was a little tight but we managed fine. Evora is a very beautiful walled town with many exceptional places to visit. We had a very good light dinner with excellent wines in the hotel on the first evening and really enjoyed Lombardo and O Trovador, both very close to the hotel, on the following evenings. The hotel's beautiful courtyard was a perfect place to enjoy the excellent breakfast. Thank You!

Good location with parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice outside sitting are for breakfast. Bed was comfortable.
Our room had steps going up to it and inside of it, which might be a problem for anyone with a problem with steps.

Beautiful hotel with outdoor terrace. Lovely room and elevator access. Underground parking, although tight, was a real bonus. Great breakfast and drinks on the terrace.

Our room had a patio and we loved sitting out there in the evening and enjoying a nice glass of local wine. The location is walking distance to all of the sites in Evora. The breakfast was good and plentiful.

The staff is wonderful, especially Jao. He took the time to orient us to Evora and point out the things that he felt we should see during our short visit. His recommendation for dinner was wonderful. The breakfast is very well done with plenty of choices. You can eat outside in the garden which was really pleasant and charming. We loved the fact that the hotel was a bit away from core tourist area of Evora, but still within the wall. It is an easy walk to all the sights. The room was quite large and very comfortable.
Be aware that some rooms require going up a flight of stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but those with mobility issues may want to ask for a room that uses an elevator. They have underground parking (for a fee) which is helpful because parking near the hotel is tough. The two free, public, hotel parking spaces seemed to be filled by the same cars.

I wasn't sure which of two rooms to book, and I'm so glad I followed the management's suggestion. The more spacious room with a balcony was certainly worth the slightly higher price and helped make the stay there so memorable. The management continued to offer outstanding service with excellent restaurant recommendations, detailed advice for a day trip, and help when our rental car acted up. Breakfast was outstanding -- delicious bread and pastry and eggs made to order, all in a charming, sun-lit breakfast room.
