Nice old fashioned hotel with good service

Slightly oud of the city centre (15 min walk)

Good location and environment

We were delayed check in for one day due to the delay of our international flight, but the hotel was not accommodating and refused to cancel the room fee for one day. I think this decision is very unreasonable.

well the only concerning thing was that even that we have GDPR regulations it is still commonly practiced that IDs are copied, also reception kept our ID for around 10 mins. the ID should be used only to validate identity not to be copied out.

The hotel had a friendly atmosphere with plenty of free parking. The breakfast was one of the best of our two week stay in Sicily.

The hotel was clearly grand in the past but, like a lot of Sicily, it is looking a little tired and uncared for in places, for example, the shower that wouldn’t stay in a fixed position.

The breakfast was good - great range of sweet and savoury food. The juice was the only thing that wasn't brilliant - very synthetic tasting. The room was spacious with really comfy beds. We asked for all 5 rooms to be close if possible and we were all next to each other which made it so much easier - especially having children sharing in rooms next to parents. The pool was WONDERFUL! Large and warm and great diving board. Plenty of space in the sun and shade around and felt we had 5 star service when the ice-cream cart came pool side and someone took orders for drinks and brought them to us. This felt like a very adult environment which can sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable when travelling with children but they were welcomed and we all felt very comfortable.

The pool was big and chilled. The breakfast was great with a lot of choice and good cappuccinos. One particular staff member was very friendly and helpful.

We were told to reserve the restaurant when we checked in for that evening. When we arrived, it appeared that it had just been opened for us around 8.30 and was completely silent. The atmosphere was non existent and not what we were expecting having been told to reserve table.

You have to walk on the streets everywhere in Marsala so it was very dangerous to get to the hotel without a car ....

Warm and welcoming receptionist. Nicely cooled room and wonderful swimming pool. Breakfast very good with wonderfully hot coffee, as so often half cold in Italy.

Very nice hotel close to the old town (20 min on foot). The staff is very friendly, the breakfast typically italian. The Pool is great. Thank you very much, especially to Katia from the reception!

This hotel is a relatively new build (about 20 years ago), being in the style of the adjacent old building (now the hotel restaurant but currently closed due to COVID). It has an old world grandeur. Ample private parking at the front of the hotel. Its has a swimming pool set in very pleasant surrounds. The entry and common areas/rooms are filled with magnificent furniture and paintings. The room was very comfortable and warm. The breakfast room is large and splendid in all ways. The buffet style self serve central arrangement was well provided with sweet and savoury options with coffee, tea and hot chocolate served by staff from a separate counter. Fresh fruit and juices from another separate buffet. All staff were helpful and friendly.

The location is easily accessible by car. However, the location is not ideal if you wish to walk into the Marsala centre for its cafes and restaurants. There are literally no defined pathways in the immediate surrounds, so one finds oneself walking along rough roads in what is not the most friendly looking surrounds. Perhaps this will be remedied as development of the area continues in future years.
