Great location and clean facilities. The camp is located less than 3 minutes away from Sossusvlei entry gate. We loved the outdoor bbq and the kitchenette area. So quiet at night, and not bothered by the next doors at all since the huts are pretty spread apart. We had a few jackals visits during the night.

Desert Camp has a stunning location, surrounded by gorgeous desert scenery and minutes away from the national park entrance. The houses are clean and comfortable, equipped with aircon, a safety deposit box and a spacious bathroom. Each unit has its own driveway, so you can park right next to the house. There's enough space between houses to allow for ample privacy and there's really nothing standing in the way of complete peace & quiet (except the occasional gemsbok that were wandering around :)). The welcome at reception was efficient and friendly, the little bar next to it is open until 10pm and has wifi (drinks can be put on your room bill and credit cards are readily accepted). There's a pool too: we did not have time to try it but it did look inviting.

Just one small thing: obviously there's a lot of sand, so it would have been nice/useful to have a mop at the house to sweep the sand off the patio. It accumulates easily and it's hard to avoid carrying it into the room. It wasn't a problem for us but note also that breakfast/dinner is not on site, it can be booked at the adjacent Sossusvlei Lodge. It's only a 5-minute drive away and is really worth it.

What a pleasant surprise. Felt like an oasis in the desert. Friendly and very helpful staff upon arrival. Lovely pool area. The cabin was perfect with an outside patio area for a braai with stunning sunset views. Delicious breakfast. We wished we had booked for two nights instead of just one. Also just a a few minutes drive from Sossusvlei gate.

Room was wonderful! Spectacular view and well equipped.

Shower was not properly clean - some residue hair from previous guests, otherwise no complaints.

The staff was friendly and most welcoming. Enos the tour guide was exceptional and his presentation about the history of Namibia is something my kids enjoyed most. He kept everyone going by encouraging us to reach the top of big daddy dune

The roads are not compatible for small cars though. Perfect for SUV. I wish there was family chalet to accomodate kids and to sleep closer. Went with our 10 and 13 year old kids and we had to book another room opposite

Everything was perfect. Food at the near by restaurant was amazing. Very comfortable bed, immaculate room and shower. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.

The location, reception and helpfulness of staff. The chalet was well appointed, clean and served our purpose well. The use of the WiFi in the bar area together with a cool drink was a pleasure. I had lost my spectacles in the room and my gratitude to Irya for locating them and having them couriered back to me.
