Excellent value for money.
Lovely room decor with clean sheets and great AC.
Great location. A few minutes walk to Puerta Ayora, which is where most things are.
Nice staff and simple but good food. And great access to amazing restaurants. Gave us some really good recs.
The bathroom could be improved, (it's clean, but the shower system isn't too convenient) but I don't think hotels at this price range here would be significantly better.
The Wifi situation is not great, but it's generally really terrible in Galapagos, so I don't think it's really the hotel's fault.

While La Casa de Judy is considered far from downtown Puerto Ayora (about a 15-min walk), it's a lovely place sheltered from the noise and bustle of the bars and restaurants. Excellent for travellers who've booked day tours, which typically start very early in the morning—the nighttime quiet is important! My stay started off with meeting Raphael at the front desk, who was helpful and so sweet. I cannot speak Spanish at all, so I appreciated her friendliness and patience in communicating with me. I looked forward to the breakfast each day (freshly cooked egg, buns, butter and guava jam, some ham and cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea), and was grateful for the option of an earlier breakfast before I departed each day for my diving tours.
The beds were comfortable, the decor tasteful, and the AC was a godsend. In the lobby, there is ample seating for lounging around or writing/working on the computer. WiFi was speedy (only available in the lobby), but it did go out for a few hours one day, which is a rare occurrence I believe. There is a water cooler and tea station available 24/7, with a nice selection of teas, plus hot chocolate. Most helpful was the fridge, where you're welcome to store your own drinks and food in (recommend labelling it just in case).
The only drawbacks were the distance from the downtown area (which is only a $1.50 taxi ride if you do not fancy a walk in the heat) and the bathroom, which could use an aesthetic upgrade. As a solo traveller, I was also uncomfortable with the idea of leaving my room and safe key at the front desk every time I left the hotel (required). However, I felt very safe during my stay after that initial discomfort. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here!

Carlos was a super great host! He was very friendly and helpful! The staff in the hotel were also very nice. The room was very clean and cozy. The breakfast was great. The location was also very convenient. Just 5 min from the main street (Charles Darwin St.) and just 10 mins walk from the main Dock. The area was calmed and quiet. The stay was just superb. Would definitely come back.
Everything was great.

The staff was nice and the breakfast was good. ( toast, jams, juice, eggs, yogurt). View from
the roof was stunning. However I went in late June and the weather was mostly cloudy so no one was on the roof. I heard most places on the island aren’t very social
I’d say the room was basic. The air conditioning was broken and I asked for it to be fixed twice and it never was. The hotel wasn’t on the Main Street. So know you’ll have to walk. It’s not far. Maybe 4 blocks to the end of the Main Street. And about 15 min from what I’d consider the main center. Taxis are all $1.5 or $2 all over town ( I can’t remember because it changed based on which island) but overall cheap. So you can just grab a taxi if you don’t want to walk. you’ll never wait more than 5 min to find one. Overall the place was good it just wasn’t worth the price. I spent more thinking I’d get more but I think you can get the same basic room for a lot less and much closer into town. There was no atmosphere. I stayed in a private double but it had no view. The hotel seemed empty and I asked if I could have a room with a view but they were going to charge me a crazy price more. overall not worth it at any level.

The room was spacious and clean with great sea views. You get a generous balcony and a big screen in the door should you wish to leave it open. My friend and I had to share a bed but it was big enough for it not to matter.
The breakfast is in line with what I had elsewhere in Ecuador: toast, cheese, eggs, fruit, yoghurt and granola, with hot and cold water, and coffee on tap throughout the day. They provide a number of different teas and a different fresh juice with breakfast.
The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the Charles Darwin Research Centre, the fish market in town, shops and some exceptional restaurants (Almar and Mikado are two we would recommend). It is also a short walk to the main pier where you can either take a water taxi to the other Islands, Finch Bay or watch the sharks at night. A 50 minute walk will get you to Tortuga Bay where you can swim and kayak.
Carlos, the hotel proprietor, made this visit extra special. Not being a native Spanish speaker myself, he was always available with guidance on where to explore, shop and eat. he gave easy-to-follow instructions on how to get places and how much it would cost. He provided snorkels and masks (and offered towels) when we planned our visits to Tortuga Bay and Las Grietas.
The hotel does have Wi-Fi in the lobby but in line with the rest of the Galapagos, it is slow and inconsistent - enough for WhatsApp message but not Instagram posts. I enjoyed this though as it meant you were disconnected and can enjoy the magic of Puerto Ayora without distraction.
somewhere to hang wet clothes would be beneficial

Breakfast was fresh and standard--eggs, bread, fresh juice, granola, yogurt, coffee, tea. The views from the roof are very nice. In a quiet area of Puerta Ayora. Called us a taxi for the airport.
Our room was under a tin roof (it looked like the only room) so when it rained it was VERY loud and it rained all night. There were other rooms to put us in. They didn't respond when I asked if I could store my luggage. Didn't live up to their online photos. Overpriced compared to Airbnbs in the area.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good location not far from all of bars and restaurants.
Our room was a little tired. Although the breakfast was nice, the options were limited.

T What wasn't to like. The views were fantastic from the room but even better up on the roof terrace with a 360 view looking out to sea and over onto the hills. The staff were really friendly, food was always perfect and the owner went the extra mile dropping me off at the pier twice and storing the excess luggage that I'd brought

The view of the ocean from my balcony.
There are so many moths in the room even if the doors are closed. there must be a space in the eaves that they could enter through. please have the hotel management look into it.

Children's playground nearby the hotel.
I was wondered about good opinions of this hotel.
Room photos are not correspond to reality! When you book this hotel, you see the nice picture with sea-view and balcony and think you will get it, but 90% of the rooms are standard rooms without photos, and this is a trick! See attached photo in real, non-photoshopped. And this is for 100$/night with taxes!!! Looks like 0-stars 10$ hostel, not a 3 stars hotel.
WiFi isn't available in the rooms! Only in the public area, and it was too slooooow (like in far 1995)
Breakfast is so primitive (like scrambled eggs with bread).
There were no electricity adapters for European-style devices.
Strongly not recommended!

we liked the pool, and we get the room before the time, which was really useful
location was kind of far from the center, I didn’t get an invoice because they said that if they give me one they would charge 12% more besides taxes I already paid through booking, breakfast was too basic

Very friendly host. The hotel is located in a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle, but it takes only 5 minutes to get the main street, and 15 to the pier. Rooms clean and comfortabel, nice big balcony overlooking the sea.
Overall, good value for money.
Breakfast is average: eggs, a couple slices of fruits, toasts with jam.
Wifi works fine, but it's only in the reception area

The owner is such a social and helpful person. I can really recommend to choose a seaview room. Breakfast is amazing and the atmosphere is very homely too.
Wifi is only available in the Lobby but that is totally ok.

The hotel is a small hotel in walking distance to all important locations in the town. It is clean and safe and far above the usual standards of the Galápagos. Breakfast was simple but of high quality.
The best is the very motivated and friendly staff, especially Carlos, who always has a smile and some helpful advise and great hints what to do with the days and evenings! Thank you!
