The shower pressure was sometimes low, the room felt very outdated, particularly the bathroom.

Desde que llegue tuve un trato amable de parte del personal, la instalación ordenas, limpias y sobre todo acogedora. Las actividades que realizaron permiten conocer muchas personas y socializar.

A cool place with a lot of activities

Schimmel, Extreme Lautstärke (laute Musik auch nach 22 Uhr direkt vorm Fenster, kein richtiges Glas im Fenster), steinhartes Bett (wie Beton), Bad sehr alt und ohne Ablage, Vorhang verdreckt, Boden dreckig (schwarze Füße beim Gehen), Baustelle vor Zimmer -> Es war unmöglich auch nur ein Auge zuzumachen und das Zimmer war ein dunkles Loch. Für den Preis wirklich unterirdisch.

We really enjoyed our stay at Viajero Salento. The hostel garden looks out into the mountains and lots of activities were organised in the hostel bar. The staff were extremely friendly and they can also organise sandwiches if you are going hiking for the day. They have links to local companies that can organise tours to Cocora Valley and coffee farms.

The only negatives were that breakfast was quite basic and we paid quite a lot of money for a private room, only to be in the basement looking out onto a wire fence rather than with a view of the mountains.

Zimmer muffig, Präsenz von Schimmelwand direkt neben dem Bett. Sie versuchen den muffigen Geruch mit synthetischen Parfümsprays auszugleichen die alle 15 Minuten automatisch sprühen und nicht ausschaltbar sind.

Personal sehr unfreundlich und unhilfsbereit. Wir haben nach Badetüchern gefragt, uns wurde mehrmals gesagt dass die in die Zimmer gebracht würden. Trotz mehreren freundlichen Nachfragen haben wir keine Handtücher bekommen. Bei Ankunft um 18 Uhr wurde uns gesagt dass die Hostelküche bis 21uhr offen ist um 19.30 des selben Tages wurde dann verweigert uns Essen zu servieren da kein Koch mehr da wäre. Stattdessen wollten wir dann ein cocktail trinken, hat 45 Minuten gedauert zwischen Bestellung und Lieferung des Cocktails obwohl keine anderen Gästen da waren.

Vanuit onze kamer hadden we het mooiste uitzicht ever! Heel ruim, proper en warme douche. Het personeel was steeds behulpzaam en vriendelijk! Ook het ontbijt vonden wij top, je kan kiezen tussen een zoet ontbijt of zout en dit was elke dag wat anders. Op 5 min wandelen ben je midden in het centrum!

Le restaurant ferme tôt. (s’il y a encore des plats à servir avant la fin de l’heure indiquée soit 21h). Publicité mensongère sur les affichages du bar (il n’y a pas ce qu’ils disent et même quand on les avertit ils n’enlèvent pas des tableaux)

The view of the mountains and social aspects were great for this solo traveller. The facilities were clean, breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful. Great place to stay!

La habitacion femenina realmente no la recomiendo. Habia mucho olor a humedad y escasa ventilacion. No tiene aire acondicionado tampoco...yo soy alergica y desde que ingrese no pare de toser y estornudar. Deberian encontrar una solucion para este problema. Nunca antes me habia pasado en otro lugar.

Perfect central location. The room has a fantastic beautiful view on the mountains. The terrace is ideal to meet other travelers. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Superior private room had a fab view and very clean, with option for cleaning service daily. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Hostel has lots of social activities (salsa, fruit tasting, yoga, music quiz) but also lots of private spaces (office, hammock) if you want to chill out. The wifi is good. The bar and restaurant serve delicious meals and are reasonably priced. There is also the option to cook your own meals, they even have a rice cooker, what a treat! Breakfast in the morning was always varied and delicious. Very close to the main square for getting Jeeps. They turn the music off at 10.30pm, so you can always get plenty of quiet and rest. Staff are super friendly and helpful with tours and local information. We didnt want to leave!

Self catering kitchen needs an extra fridge for guests and an extra fry pan (there are lots of pots but only 1 fry pan). Would be great if guests could fill their own bottle with filtered water, rather than always having to ask behind the bar. I would still be happy to pay a fee for filter, just want to fill it myself.

Le cadre est exceptionnel : la vue et les extérieurs sont géniaux. Nous y avons passé de belles soirées. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux et le personnel serviable.

Nous avions une chambre au sous-sol donc très peu lumineux et très humide. Prévoir des bouchons d’oreille car l’ambiance est festive le soir !

The hostel has everything you need including a large area, where you can social with other travelers. What really stood out for me was the staff: Valen and Oscar from the reception team do an exceptional job and not only provided me with great tips but also let me practice my spanish with them. Same applies for Helena which happens to clean my dorm - her warm and welcoming personality really made my day and my stay at Viajero Salento very special - Muchas gracias, nos vemos!

Private room has an amazing view

Our room was double booked on one night so we had to cancel our reservation and stay in a dorm. This was clearly due to a large group booking which dominated the hostel - when we tried to get breakfast at 7am (start time) the staff rudely brushed us away to take the group’s orders, and we had to wait 30 mins meaning we were stressed and late for our bus.

It'e been a good few years since I stayed in a hostel but I loved Viajero in Salento, I had one of the private views which had incredible views over the valley. I booked it mainly to meet new people and Dani Ella did an amazing job with different events in the hostel and the guest Whatsapp group. Overall a really well run hostel in a great location

Die Unterkunft hatte einen super Ausblick, die Angestellten waren alle mega drauf, sehr offen und haben tolle Tipps gegeben. Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Super zum Kontakte knüpfen :)

Das Doppelzimmer war sehr einfach gehalten, die Betten sehr unbequem und das Hostel ist hellhörig. Auf jeden Fall Oropax mitnehmen (oder am Empfang holen).

To znakomicie zorganizowany hostel na najlepszym światowym poziomie. Jest wszystko co potrzeba, a personelowi widać, że sprawia przyjemność praca w tym miejscu.

Nice communal area to relax and meet other travellers, with a really nice view. Staff were generally very friendly.

Internet was slow, and the bathroom in the bedroom was small with nowhere to leave or hang up your things. Beds were not comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, many activities organized. Beautiful property with a nice bar and kitchen that had very reasonable prices. Great place for solo travelers that want to socialize and meet others.

The bunks were not very practical- if you’re on the top bunk and the person below you had their light on it shines up in to your bunk through the sides where your items can also easily fall through. They supply you with one very thin pillow and a very thin sheet as well which would be fine except it gets very cold at night.

-Staff was super friendly, helpful, and knew a lot about Colombia, the area, and tours. Shout out to July, Oscar, Marianna, and Juana. -Breakfast in the morning was yummy (check if it's included). -Shower pressure and temperature were good. -Beds were super comfy with curtains and a plug! -There was music at the restaurant, but it didn't keep you up from sleeping (it turns off at a reasonable time). -When I posted pictures on IG, all of my friends said that they stayed here and loved it as well.

If i had to nitpick, the only negatives were that the common areas open air and sometimes would be hard to socailise if you were a solo traveler because people tended to come as couples or groups.
