The balcony view was nice. Warm water was available.

Jacuzzi broken, it was not clean as mini cockroches were spotted. Unhelpful and uncaring staff, furniture and facilities worn down. Loud noises in the middle of the night from the hotel. We booked a suite with Jacuzzi for our anniversary and were met with disappointment for our special night. No other suites available and the employee that came up to our room didn't check properly, just played with the drain knob and left. It seemed like they were already aware that it did not work.... To receive compensation was a hassle as the hotel did nothing and said we should solve it with Booking.com. When customers service contacted them they lied to them that we did not allow them in the room??? During checkout no apologies offered, nothing at all. So unprofessional and definitely NOT 4 stars!

It was in front of the train station Basmane but far from the city center.

We stayed here only 3 nights and in one night when we arrived at the hotel there was no towels, no soap there was nothing imagine that when you arrive late in the night at the hotel and the only thing that you want is to have a shower and sleep. Another thing that was a little bit strange was that in the night that we arrive for checkin we asked if they know an agency that do the Ephesus tour and they said that the morning person from reception knows more about it and to discuss with him. In the morning we discussed with the morning person and he arranged for us the tour for the next day and he also said that the payment will be done to the guide directly. In the evening when we arrive at the hotel the reception people from night shift called us in the room and said that we need to pay them the amount for the tour because they need to do the payment till the midnight (was super strange), we asked for a receipt/bill for that amount of money and they said that we will take from the guide but we should pay the amount from them; long story short in the end we payed the amount to the guide directly how it was supposed to (they were not able to provide a bill/receipt for the money).

Very clean hotel, the location is perfect, there are a lot of restaurants and markets, close to the sea, about 2 km, everything was great

Breakfast was good, terrace view at breakfast time was awesome

Cleanliness was average and location was so loud. There was no electric kettle in the room despite of being in the options in booking

Due to covid restrictions not all was as expected, for example the swimming pool was not in use or the restuarant, breakfast was taken in the attached restuarant next to the hotel, but I still had a good time, a holiday is what you make it. Getting about was very cheap, used the ferries, tram and underground, but main line trains sick with covid. Clothes and eating out is very cheap also. Fab views and walks round the bay, quite and tranquil away from the city.

Communication in English, plus information on getting about and what to see and do in Izmir, I had done my homework before going so had a rough idea, it was very diffficult to obtain a map, and could not find a touristic one.
