Le petit déjeuner excellent et Félix, le gérant est là creme de la crème : hospitalité au top, serviable, disponible… Cerise sur le gâteau, le riad a été rénové avec soin, la deco est super jolie.

Es ist wirklich sehr schön im Riad Baladin. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen mitten in der Medina, sehr sauber, ausgestattet mit tollen Details und mit wirklich sehr lieben Personal - wirklich eine perfekte Basis um die Medina, den Hafen und den Strand zu erkunden.

Zumindest in unserem Zimmer waren die Betten etwas wackelig und insgesamt eher hart. Vielleicht ist das aber auch nur eine persönliche Vorliebe. Sonst alles prima :)

It was quiet and very well located in the Medina. The staff was really helpful and discreet. The rooms were really well decorated with a nice attention to details. Really good breakfast

Everything was nice

The location is unbeatable - you will be near everything basically but also tucked away and quiet. I liked the shabby chic decor everywhere, was very stylist and the Rose room was plenty big. You get 1 hour a day jacuzzi time which is a great bonus. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

It rains sand in Essaouria when it is windy which is often the case and there is no closed up space to have breakfast. Our whole spread was covered in sand and uneatable 5 mins within serving it on the table. Also breakfast could benefit from a few different items - gets boring after a couple of days.

I had a great stay at Riad Baladin. -Great location -Geat staff -There was also a great feel about the place. I would definitely stay again recommend to friends!

Charming and well located. Rooftop terraces, beautiful plants and comfortable seating.

Stairs were steep, so be aware of that in case you have any balance or other difficulties with staircases. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace.

Excellent breakfast on the rooftop terrace, fresh fruit salad, coffee, eggs and wonderful Moroccan breads. Good location, central but quiet. The rooms are all individually decorated. I was in the grey room, comfortable, decent size and fresh roses in my room on arrival. Felix, the manager could not be more helpful and charming. I would highly recommend this Riad.

I liked everything- one petty observation when the towels were changed was given a face towel instead of a bath mat and the other towels were pretty small.

A lovely Riad, with great decor and comfortable bed. A great escape from the bustling city of Marrakech. Felix the manger was very helpful and made guests feel very welcome. Breakfast was good and the location was perfect - close to shops, harbour and restaurants.

Bedroom was a little noisy if you wanted an early night due to the location of the hot tub, the noise from guests travelled up. A little attention required in the bathroom to make perfect, towels were thin and worn and toilet brush holder was very rusty.

As always a very beautiful place to stay in Essouira! The rooms are a dream and super cozy, the service is excellent and the breakfast amazing! Stayed here many times already and will surely come back again!

- Friendly and attentive staff - including resident cat, Simba! Our suitcase was even brought to our room for us. - Decor in rooms was beautiful and attention to detail - Hot tub, bookable for an hour free or charge - ‘Common room’ area where you can sit and relax or play boardgames - Calm and tranquil atmosphere - Lovely breakfast on an equally lovely terrace - Well located near the bastion where you have prime view of a stunning sunset and also near lots of lovely restaurants - full size shower gel and shampoo (not tiny bottles)

- You have to be quite careful you shut the curtains properly when using the bathroom if you don’t want people to catch a glimpse of you in the shower - curtains, not a bathroom door (but no big deal really)

The hotel is very stylish and clean. The breakfast was good and full: yoghurt, local pancakes, fruits, jams and spreads, pastries, and coffee. The hotel is situated close to the beach and to the central streets with restaurants. The room was nicely decorated. When we arrived we found a vase with roses and lit candles. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The bed was too hard for me. And also I was annoyed that when someone turned on the light on the stairs it was also turned on on our floor. The doors of the room are with glasses and white curtains let in light.

From entering until leaving this place we were amazed by the quality of both the facilities and the staff. Felix did an amazing job and is a very pleasant host having around. We recommend sleeping in the red room with bath; one of the most beautiful rooms we've ever stayed in.

Very well located riad, and the manager very kindly arranged for a luggage carrier to meet us (30 dirham) from the bus and escort us through the town. Our room was quite small but reasonably well furnished. Overall we liked the decor but found the scent in the riad occasionally a bit overpowering. Good breakfasts served on very nice rooftop by charming lady.

It was slightly inconvenient not being able to sit up in one of the beds, as it had no end to it. The shower head was broken and even though we mentioned this on the first morning, it was not fixed before we left (the manager, Felix, was very apologetic). The riad might consider replacing the chipped bowls used for breakfast.

The manager Felix is a fantastic host, providing the best recommendations for food, sights and Moroccan experiences, and an excellent attention to detail! Baladin welcomes you to Essaouira with a sense of community and comfort that we haven’t found anywhere else on our travels. Staff here are exceptionally friendly, and the late breakfasts were a real treat for us!

I can't say enough words of praise as to how much the stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I have been in the hospitality and tourism business and this was one of the best places I ever stayed at. The staff was extremely helpful and supportive. Felix the manager was kind and funny. He gave us some excellent recommendations and we even had time on multiple occasions to hang out with him. The location couldn't be any better and the decor is just perfect. It is in walking location of the centre of the medina and the whole neighbourhood was dotted with people we met every day, who were all extremely pleasant and nice to talk to. Absolutely everyone has gone above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable.

The Riad is perfect situated within the Medina and everything is in walking distanced. Felix does a very good job in welcoming the guests and giving all the information you need. The breakfast is very extensive compare to other Riads.

Mattresses could be softer and beds more comfortable.

Beautifully set on one of the quiet narrow cobbled streets of Essaouira. We were taken care of by the staff with great care from start to finish. they helped booking cabs, spa treatments etc. Gave great recommendations on restaurants in the area. we loved there was lunch being served on a very sunny rooftop terrace till 12. My highlight was the fantastic freshly squeezed orange juice. there was a beautiful scent going through the whole building every morning which was a beautiful touch. it was great to have our room cleaned every day too!

We loved our cozy room however, I must say you have to be quite comfortable with your partner as there is no door to the bathroom and the curtain is not big enough to cover the whole entrance to the bathroom. Next time we come I will bring earplugs and eye mask to sleep better as you might get woken up early in the morning by the prayers.

It is a tasteful and gorgeous place, where aesthetically every detail has been considered. Charming ambiance. Run with Western standards, kind and helpful staff. Generous and very tasty/fresh breakfast. Good location and Essaoura in general is so wonderful.

Bed was somehow unstable and screeching, a bit small (and corresponds to rather small size of the room).
