The Riad Zahra was magnificent. The facilities were excellent. Our room was spacious, clean, and really beautiful. The breakfast was a wonderful start to each day, but what really stood out was the staff. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make our vacation something to remember. I look forward to another visit.

Our room was very dark and the only window looked onto the outdoor restaurant. No privacy in our room unless we closed the window and curtains. We were booked for 4 nights and the front desk refused to change us to another room.

Very helpful and friendly staff, who spoke English. An exceptional restaurant. Quiet location. comfortable beds, nice room. Good breakfast: bread, cake, yogurt, honey, eggs and for me because I am gluten free they have me fruit, great coffee

The Riad it's magic and literally two minutes walking to the beach. We could see the ocean from our room. The bed is very comfortable and all it's very clean. The shower is very big.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Riad Zahra. All the staff were so friendly and helpful on reception and at the breakfast buffet. My room was a really good size, the bed was super comfy and I slept really well. The shower was lovely, very hot water and really powerful. It was beautifully decorated throughout and it was such a peaceful, beautiful place to relax and stay at. The breakfasts were amazing such tasty food and all the staff were so friendly and efficient at serving even when it was busy I'd definitely stay here again!

Very good breakfast, nice staff. Close to the beach. A bit of a walk to the city center. However, the walk is very nice along the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This was a very well run establishment with attention to cleanliness. The main room / dining room floors were washed after the breakfast service and the pool vacuumed daily. The pool and pool deck received a lot of sun during the day. The water was very cold, but it was December. Breakfast was served promptly upon arrival to the breakfast room.

The location was at the very far end of the beach away from town which could be a deterrent for some but there were a couple of good restaurants close by and we actually enjoyed walking back towards town / the Medina on those days we chose to visit. The beach at this end of Essouaira was dominated by the camel and horse touts so not possible to sit and relax, but again, a forced walk back to the middle or the other end was not a bad thing.

Something about Riad Zahra makes it a relaxing place to stay, maybe it's the sound of the ocean that you can hear at night. The location is a 2 minute walk to the beach and close enough to the Medina (20 minutes walk or a quick taxi, but being further away means it is also quieter) The quality of the ingredients used for breakfast and the other meals we had there were top notch. Staff are friendly and helpful and my eldest daughter loved the pool, the cats, the tortoises and most of all the hosts. We had a pleasant stay and can recommend it.

Stairs from terrasse to the pool and not a lot of space around the pool which meant it was a little stressful with a 1 year old who was walking all over the place, could hear the TV next door at night.

Great pool. Small room but worked fine for us. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Delicious dinners. a nice walk (20 minutes) along the seafront to the old town. The beach was just one block away.
