Nice view of mountains. Free breakfast included fresh squeezed orange juice and fruit.

The room smelled moldy. The toilet leaked. It was strangely noisy from the wind and rain at night, as if walls had no insulation. The road to the hotel requires a 4 wheel drive. Bring exact change or expect to over pay for extras.

Very big stylish and comfortable room with balcony and a beautiful view. Outside the room a lot of birds - parrots, hummingbirds. Good breakfast.

Bad road to the Hotel

Nice location on the outskirts of Monteverde - recommend 4x4 for access. The room was a good size, and the bed was particularly comfortable for our stay. Reasonable breakfast with a number of different options. Room contained a safe, coffee maker and TV. Pleasant views from the balcony.

In general, the hotel and facilities could do with some renovation/ modernisation. It appeared that there was little attention to detail (not restocking coffee or bottled water in the room after checking in). We experienced a number of issues with the bathroom during our stay, which were not resolved as promised by the staff the following day. The staff did not clean our room or change linen/ towels on one of the days. The downstairs rooms suffer from hearing every sound from the guests in the rooms on the floor above. Reception was not always open/ contactable during our stay. During breakfast the restaurant's coffee machine was broken/ not working which reduced the number of hot drinks options that the hotel were able to offer.

The location is beautiful. And the rooms are comfortable.

Staff was friendly, but they were often not in the office. One day, we tried to book breakfast with them and couldn’t find them. The breakfast itself was pretty mediocre and the coffee was awful. It’s hard to get to and if you don’t want to drive at night, you are kind of stuck there. They say they have a restaurant and bar but neither was open during our 3 days.

Our stay was great! Staff was awesome, the rooms are big and cozy. It was very windy and rainy and we slept like babies. The booked all tours for us and organized the shuttle to come get us at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and very complete!
