The views are incredible! It’s such a gorgeous building located on the square right by the ocean. Can’t beat the price for the location!

The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable but we were tired enough that it didn’t keep us up.

This property has the best views and location in Vernazza! It is clean, bright and well appointed,. On, the smaller side but it makes it all the more charming with with original beams and large casement windows. The owner has thought of everything and has optimized the space with great care. The bed is very comfortable but the views, the views!!! We had a room on the third floor, a bit of a climb but quiet and above the crowds. Fell asleep to the sound of the water lapping up on the shoreline.

There are several sets of stairs which is challenging with luggage but it is Vernazza and you can’t avoid stairs, seem to be the norm here.

The location of this hotel was amazing!!!! I felt lucky to be there in the heart of Vernazza and the restaurants. It was very clean and the staff (Lorenzo) was so helpful and kind. Another gentleman helped us carry our bags downstairs when we were checking out. Very cozy and quiet. Vernazza was my favorite. AC was good. We were there in September so the temp outside wasn't too hot. I would definitely stay here again!

The place was small but quaint. Rooms were small, not much room to do anything but sleep. Ensuite bathroom was great! The hall bathrooms were small and tight. We didn't like having to carry our large suitcases up 4 flights of stairs and then up a tiny spiral staircase, but we were warned about that. I wouldn't stay at this hotel if you're out of shape or elderly, because climbing the stairs was tiresome. But once you get there, it was worth it! Tourists would come by the bus loads/train loads and then the town would get very crowded as did the restaurants. Early mornings and late nights were the quietest times.

We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the staff, the room, and the location were. We would definitely stay there again and even recommend it to friends.

The bathroom door could’ve been better it if swung out to allow more space in the small bathroom.

The position of the apartment was superb with excellent views.Vernazza was the prettiest of the 5 towns

We loved our stay at Alberto Barbara. Bottom line you cannot beat the location and the value. Lorenzo was the most amazing host and he even gave us great tips, were to eat and what to eat!! You come out of the building and you are in the town center and it is a magical place, something out of a dream. Right outside the building are many restaurants, bars and shops and let’s not forget the Mediterranean. If you have watched the movie Luca you will know exactly what I am talking about. We would most likely go back and recommend this place to our friends. Just make sure you are aware the rooms are located on the attic of the 4th floor and there is not a lift, that was not an issue for us! But I would imagine it would be for someone with too much luggage or mobility issues.

Right in the center of plaza, close to foods and stores, beautiful view out from our room window. We got a free upgrade. Loved the staff there- the gentleman who checked us in and the housekeeping lady, both were so sweet and helpful ! Many thanks to their hospitality!!!

Nothing! Only one small suggestion to please provide a bit thicker soap bar, so thin and pretty much melted after one use 😁.

Excellent placement.

The location is fabulous! My room was small but clean with all necessary amenities. Beautiful view from a small window. Staff was courteous and helped with my luggage. Excellent communication that was helpful and greatly appreciated. Free internet access so I was able to connect and do a bit of work before heading out for the day.

I knew the room was on the fourth floor of the building, but oh my gosh!!! The stairs!!! The final floor (4th) was a circular stair with a rope to hold onto. I was very thankful the staff helped with my luggage. The walls were 'thin', but my neighbors were courteous so I never lost any sleep or had problems with the noise.
