A lot of care and attention to detail went into this guest house and the hospitality

Could have been convenient to have a shower on site but the trip to the onsen every night was a treat too!

I liked how the family staff was friendly and not too pushy and let you have it your way. They helped by guiding through the town and given assistance by offering a taxi lift service or electric bike.

Lots of hilly roads that go up and down. Difficult to move around the area without any form of transportation. The guest house was good, but hope they can adjust where the light fixtures are placed.

Yumiko san was the best host one could ever have being in a new city. She was warm and very welcoming and helped me greatly during my stay. We had extremely interesting and warm-hearted conversations despite my lack of Japanese and her lack of English. I couldn’t ask for more. :)

if you go by car , it’s not easy to arrive , but it’s not a real problem . everything there are so nice !

Staying at the Tajimi Guest House gave us a feeling of being out in the woods. Nature is right outside of the massive wood/glass/screened sliding back door. Much care and thought from the innkeeper has gone into the wonderful design of the room. It is beautifully constructed of a variety of woods and is decorated in a warm and very welcoming manner. We enjoyed having tasty breakfasts prepared during two of the four days we stayed there. The innkeepers were friendly and gracious, and we had a good time talking with both the wife and husband.

You have the opportunity to go on a daily/nightly basis to a nearby hot springs public bath. Super relaxing and highly recommended! This was a great option; however, when we just wanted to take a shower in the morning, it was a little inconvenient for us. There was a shower provided at The Tajimi Guest House, but it was extremely basic. This shower is perhaps the single future improvement we would recommend to the hosts.

The hosts were very friendly and the room was very comfortable and well designed. I stayed in fall and had the very beautiful view from the window!

The place was very nice, yet a bit far from the city center. We got free coffee and it was cozy warm thanks to a gas heater and an AC. We also got free tickets to a nearby onsen. The interior design was superb. It's perfect for couples.

It is a bit pricey, but you get a really nice stay. Also, there is only an outdoor shower, which might be a bit inconvenient to people.
