This was wonderful! Took us a while to find it. Each unit is like a separate small villa with a terrace. The pool was great - and we had it to ourselves! Very quiet. The main building is beautiful, full of charm and character. We ate dinner in the dining room and for some reason were offered desserts after our starters! This is a vey Spanish hotel - not touristy so not much English (which is a good thing!) I must learn some more Spanish!

Breakfast was a bit limited.

Scenery and setting beautiful, a quaint hotel with lots of character, pool and area great, clean with toilets and shower. close to san hose village 15 mins walk where there,s a lovely beach,nice shops,lots of bar/restaurants.

Sadly really missed a kettle..

Very nice room, huge and big bathroom. Comfortable bed and very quiet to relax. Nice swimming pool area and super cool to see the stars at night.

A bit far from shops and restaurants so it’s good if you have a car.

We liked the chilled atmosphere and the friendly and helpful staff. The place is very historic and typically rural Spanish. The choice at breakfast suited us and the dinners were excellent

The walking distance into town was further than we expected especially in the heat of the day.

Lovely room with a nice terrace out the back.

The location said beachfront but its actually a 15 minute walk to town.

the actual hotel itself was amazing, pool was lovely and the rooms were clean. they gave us two single beds which is always inconvenient but not a spoiler.

the restaurant was disappointing, they host a bbq at the weekends but the food was too salty. however staff were great about it.

Breakfast was nice but the same every day ,need 2 cater for other nationalities as well as Spanish .

The location was so peaceful, away from the crowds.

Breakfast was nothing special. No eggs.

Great staff, the cortijo itself needs some maintenance (doors, paintings, etc), but it is quiet and it does what supposed to do.

Stayed here 15 years ago nothing changed.no bar or food service at lunch. Table on outside terrace sun damaged could not put drinks on.only stayed 1 night then left.needs general update.

Nice experience, good concept to organise the hotel as a Mauri house.

The lights above the beds could not be switched off.

Absolutely gorgeous all round. Elke on reception was fantastic and made me and my farther feel very welcome. Check in was smooth, Elke showed us around the complex and explained how everything work in our room / apartment. Rooms were beautiful with a gorgeous bathroom and even better private seating area outside. All you can eat continental breakfast was only €7 per person - amazing! There are horses on site, wood peckers and lots of wildlife to be seen and heard. 5 min drive from gorgeous beaches.

room was very dark, outside terrace was poor, air conditioning didn’t work properly and room was very hot - didn’t sleep well at all - wasn’t as picturesque as the photos suggested

Dirty rooms, breakfast was very limited and all was very poor quality...

After confusion about being able to dine at our original choice hotel the receptionist was very helpful in arranging for us to stay at a sister hotel wherer dining was possible

Quite old fashioned room (but very spacious!) Only street parking at our ultimate destination.
