HMP Norbreck. If yo read the reviews you wouldn't but it was the Star Trek Convention so I did. Not at all bad. Bed and breakfast and evening meal! Decent food. Bar prices low.
Small room and tiny bed; I'm a big old lump(!)

Room was very smelly, bathroom very terrible, could not sleep, issue raised with receptionist who suggested any solution after 12pm. However when asked for manager she reported to Mr Haddy who straight away took me to show room which was reasonable however bathroom was terrible with shower leaking, only one point to hang shirt and towel holder broken. Two engineers came but did not fix though they tried to fix shower but in vain. Due to first night terrible we were unable to sleep. My wife and son sit in the car and I tried to sleep but could not. At 6:00 am went to receptionist and report as there was leaking shower, smelly room and shower room, dust in room and shower room, I end up cleaning chairs as argument broke out between me on one side and all other 3 family members on one side blaming me for wrong hotel booking. However Mr Haddy helped but again the shower room of second room was in terrible condition which engineers agreed.
Overall holidays ruined.
Swimming, sauna,steam room, jacuzzi.

Worst experience of staying somewhere. Room was horrendous. Staff were poor.
Original room had dirty bedding, shower was broken, drug bags behind the draws, couldn’t move in the bedroom. I complained about this was upgraded to a room where the window would not close, the radiator was filthy and marks all over the bathroom ceiling.

Friendly helpful staff
Very old dated building. Cleaning isn’t a priority as dirty carpets etc. no heating in room. Can hear people on both sides. Doors hanging at night etc. room condition poor too although fresh bedding & towels. Security guards in a hotel. Lots people hanging around entrance smoking. Windows never had a clean since installed.

Love the hotel usually. Do like the staff there, most are accommodating and pleasant. Swimming pool is good a d gym (I think) but I don't use gym. Easy to get to and from places in and around Blackpool via tram/bus and prices aren't bad on public transport either. Price also not bad for hotel room. Would like to pay anymore though for there. My kids love it there as its so big to explore but alot is shut most of the time.
Didn't like area that was in. Wasn't too clean as found someone's pyjama shirts under one of our beds? Thr fact that most things shut early or are stocked up properly/out of date stuff like arcade and vending machines. Didn't like that the little cafe wasn't open this time either as I never make breakfast and its great in there normally but it was closed the whole time with no sign or warning beforehand. Says doing improvements but doesn't seem to be quick enough really. It such a shame. Lovely building. Could be amazing!

It was clean and fresh.
Duvets needed changing, don’t fit covers properly. Parts of hotel still needs revamping. Needs bigger to.

The view to the beach was nice
The door didn't have a lock on it and the radiator was on full blast with a broken valve, not ideal on a hot BH weekend! Guy couldn't fix it so we asked for a refund and left.

Good price
Can hear every sound from people in rooms next to you and also opposite. Very thin walls. The hotel needs an update. Very annoying everyone has to wait until 330 to check in which means you are queuing for ages to check in.

Rooms were spacious, lots of storage space. Bathroom seemed newly updated. Beds were fairly comfy compared to previous reviews I'd read. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.
Windows wide open on arrival and radiator in the bedroom didn't work.

The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, the window was jammed shut which we didn’t find out till we were going to bed so it was very very warm all night, no remote for the tv, we asked twice but still didn’t receive one.

I do like the location. The hotel has good facilities but they need either updating or cleaning or fixing. It's unfortunately run down
It took 50 minutes to be served at reception to actually check in.. there were only 3 people in front of us but checking in seems to be a laborious task and people in the queue were fed u, which isn't a nice start to a holiday.

Not a lot. One guy on reception was very pleasant and helpful and the bar staff were also pleasant.
Miserable guy with long hair on reception. No service with a smile. People smoking outside entrance so front of hotel stinks of cigarette smoke. Very dated hotel, needs a refurbishment. Uncomfortable beds, rock hard pillows. Asked for pool cues so kids could play pool but they were locked in a room which they didn’t have access too?
