A fantastic setting. We occupied a suite in the chateau with private garden. Excellent. Dinner in restaurant was very good, but you do need to book.

We were told that a dinner reservation was not possible as it was full when we booked, the restaurant was definitely not anywhere near full. As a guest I would expect to be given preference for a dinner reservation. The bar service was terrible, the staff kept disappearing, I would expect table service for drinks at the very least. The pool looked like it had not been cleaned in a while so didn’t go for a swim in what would have been a lovely opportunity on a hot sunny day after a long drive. Not even any drinks or food service by the pool.

Fabulous picnic breakfast to eat anywhere you choose in the beautiful gardens, attention to detail was evident all around the chateau, management and staff so friendly and attentive. Dinner was exceptional and in our opinion worthy of a Michelin star. Cannot praise this place enough, we will most definitely return.

Really gorgeous, everything beautiful quality. Lovely pool! Very friendly staff. Fine dining restaurant, food was fabulous (but you need to book ahead!).

Extra charge of €50 to put crockery, cutlery and pans in the kitchen seemed a little steep (lucky I had some cutlery and plastic bowls with me!) :)

Fantastic apartment for our family of 4. Kids loved the swimming pool and the location was great.

My daughter is a vegetarian and whilst the restaurant did accommodate her with a salad, there was no other vegetable only choice.

The rooms were quite basic with only a handheld shower and no air conditioning ( a fan was provided). We had mistakenly assumed we could eat there and were told they were full so had to drive to Macon after a 7 hour journey. Would be helpful to advise guests to book dinner in advance.

The room size and location

We arrived after 12 hours driving to be told no dinner was available as it was completely full. The hotel is in a very quiet village. They told us to walk to the local restaurant (also completely full). We woke the next morning - I asked where breakfast was. The woman on reception (rather than do anything constructive) proceeded to tell me I was supposed to book it the day before. When we had booked online No mention was made of how to book breakfast. When we checked in no mention was made. Starving after no food the night before and with a diabetic son who needs to eat and a reception woman who was rude, accusatory and anything but kind or helpful we left. Outrageous. Stay here if you have no desire or intention to eat anything.
