The kaisei dinner was fabulous, actually the best one we had in one month of travelling around Japan. Possibility of a private onsen. Very enjoyable :)

The rooms are a bit dated.

The meals at night is the best in our whole Hokkaido trip. The view would have been fantastic if we had come in September.

There is a strong fishy smell in the property.

We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast very much. Especially thought the dinner was delicious. Enjoyed the private bath. Grateful for the shuttle bus service

Food would be more enjoyable if there can be some explanation on the menu, like a written note on the specialties. Staff do not speak english. The rooms had a musty smell and quite outdated. We had 2 rooms: the double room had very thin mattresses and was not comfortable at all. The shower shelf was held on by tape in that room. We paid quite a lot for the outdoor onsen room. The window screen was about to fall off, if pulled down just a little harder, and there was quite a bit of mould on the ceiling above the onsen tub. Of all the hotel stays for our 12 days in Hokkaido, this was most expensive and disppointing

A bit out of the way, but the Inn offered transport, and there is a public bus nearby.

Dinner is wonderful and breakfast is great. The food is very delicious.
