lots of mosquitoes and red ants (outside), the hot tub was broken but after half an hour we made it work with a temporary fix.

La Gourgasse Vieille is a wonderfully rural yet accessible historic house on the Canal du Midi near Béziers. Lovingly renovated it made for a great stop over, well worth the brief detour from the A9 motorway. Stephanie greeted us with such a warm welcome & although we were borderline for the suitably large pool at the end of the day, thankfully we were welcomed to have a swim. We stayed in the extremely spacious self contained two-bedroom apartment which has a very large terrace, living room, bathroom, kitchen, complete with washing machine. (on the right of the booking photo as you look at it). Breakfast is available should you wish for this provision. It's such a beautiful old house & would make a great base for a longer family stay to explore the area. Although it might initially be a little tricky to find Stephanie was available onsite, online & by phone with clear instructions. (do not cross the canal bridge) We're always delighted to find independently owned businesses on our travels & this was a lovely spot.

The appartment and so close to the swimming pool. What you see is what you get. we got a tour to all appartments and they are all new, clean and luxe. we reccomend this place very well. and we got a small present for our daughter to be, very very kind!

The area is a little bit boring, but thats taste. Maybe other people like the area aswell, but we expected more from the area. La Gourgasse Vielle Made everything good for us!

Nicely kept property with nice pool and a huge private terrace for our unit. Immediately next to Canal du Midi.

So hot as our unit didn't have aircon, although on hot summer days. Fans were provided, even though a few more would have been welcome.

The place was perfect the only thing that I didn’t like was the blankets on the bed. For me, I like to have a big warm thick Duvet blanket during the winter months.

The apartment was very spacious and well equipped, and great value for money for a visit to the lovely city of Beziers and the Canal du Midi.

Everything was really nice, the room was just like the pictures, with a view on the pool, it was so beautiful. And the bathroom with the balneo tub and giant shower... so nice!!

Just a small detail; the lighting was a bit too bright, more mood lighting would have been lovely.

The location is quiet and facilities are not available on-site to buy provisions. However, it's not far to Beziers or Colombiers to pick up supplies. Unfortunately we arrived on a Sunday and all the supermarkets were closed. It would have been nice for the hosts to offer refreshments etc.

The studio was spacious and beautifully decorated. A large jacuzzi bath and a separate walk in shower.

Amazing location perfect for relaxing, peaceful stay. The apartment was magnificent. Our family felt welcome and at home during our visit and did not want to leave!

The accommodation was very nice and Stephanie was lovely and very helpful. The room we were allocated was not for the timid as the sleeping arrangements were in a loft with a steep set of stairs and no handrail. That said the parking was easy and comfortable and that is important to us. The breakfast was lovely as was the terrace, but unfortunately the weather was not good for us and we could not avail ourselves of the lovely grounds and pool. The place is difficult to find but worth the effort.
