the property was what you paid for. it’s conveniently located close to Kyoto station and other attractions. the experience of being in a ryokan was simple but it wasn’t a bad experience.
the rooms were dusty and some areas were not cleaned well.

We like the ryokan style with the floor bed. And always in a clean condition. That's important. We like the size of the room which is quite spacious. Also a multifunctional low table. There are vending machines and several restaurants around
We dragged the suitcases in 10 minutes. We are with parents. Our room was difficult to close. But no problem. There is no water dispenser in the lobby. Located in a neat downtown

Perfect location near Kyoto station. The environment is quiet at night. Recommend to base if you have activities around Kyoto.

The rooms were tidy and for the space given quite comfortable.. especially the Futons, I was able to get a good night’s rest. Although the walls of the rooms were said to be rather thin, I haven’t had a problem with any noise from other guests or similar.. The owner / host was very welcoming, charismatic and up for a small chat when we crossed ways.. so I felt quite at home to be honest :) The baths are rather small but for me personally big enough. I was also able to get some laundry done, for what I was quite grateful for ..
Nothing really ..

Cool looking rooms. location is pretty good too. good yakiniku restaurant nearby. Room provides good amount of furnishings and accessories.
Could not for the life of me figure out how to get hot water to come out, no matter how I twisted and turned. Maybe it wasn’t working? not sure

I loved my stay at this Ryokan. It was my first time at a ryokan while living in Japan. The room I had was very cozy. The staff was very nice and friendly. The location is great being that it was a simple short walk away from the station. I do recommend this Ryokan if you want a nice stay near the station, the location allows you the opportunity to explore the city.
The room had no real major problems. My fridge defrosted though when I was out. I'm sure this is a rare problem that just happened randomly, the room was very nice in every other way.

Fully functional cheap and clean room close to Kyoto station
Fake tatami plastic flooring: not so comfortable to sleep on a futon
Limited noise isolation with the neighbours: you will hear their TV
No curtains: the room is not dark during the night
Also, contrary to what some older reviews said there is no free bicycle rental.

Clean
I could hear my neighbor clearly

The location was good and the prices were reasonable. I found the entire experience to be pleasant and comfortable. It’s a basic ryokan (no meals or special amenities) but it was just right for myself as a solo traveler. I would stay here again.
Nothing to the fault of the ryokan, you just have to he *very* quiet in your room because the walls are quite thin.
