We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this exquisite penthouse. The location was perfect - steps away from the beach. The space was beautiful with fun pops of color, a well stocked kitchen, and comfortable seating and beds. We will never forget the gorgeous sunrises over the ocean. Maxine is delightful and generously shares recommendations for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend!

From the day I booked our stay in this condo, I knew we made the right choice and were going to have one more unforgettable experience in Kiawah. I've been to Kiawah at least 25 times in my life and I've never felt so confident that our stay was going to be in an amazing place before I arrived....and it proved to be that and more. This condo is impeccable and had absolutely everything we needed, including the most breathtaking view of the ocean I have ever had. Maxine is a gem and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. I learned about places and tips I never even knew... even after having had visited the Island dozens of times. Every thing about this condo and experience is beyond 5 stars and we will be back again.

My fiance and I rented for a week and it was one of the most memorable weeks and vacations we've had. The penthouse was furnished to perfection with everything you could possibly need. The proximity to the beach was second to none. and the cleanliness of everything was spectacular. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in and knew we wouldn't want to leave once we were there. I could go on and on about the property, but the thing that makes this rental unique is the person that owns it. Max is the best host we've ever had. From the personal phone call right after you book, the news letter giving you all the best places to go, her connections to get you a table at the best restaurants when everything is booked, to helping me plan a proposal during our trip. She goes above and beyond for her guest and tries her hardest to make your stay the best experience possible. If you book your stay with her you will not be disappointed at the service that you get. Cross your fingers that she is on the island when you are there because you will get spoiled. I will not rent from anyone else when we decide to return to Kiawah Island.

Great villa, beautiful view!

Overall this property was wonderful. Only issue we had was one of our friends was still using a walker after back and knee surgery. Even though there was an elevator there are steps coming in the entrance. I would not recommend this property, if someone was in a wheelchair.

We have rented many properties on the island,but this one was everything that it was advertised to be. Maxine, is absolutely AMAZING @ making sure that you are satisfied, happy, & have everything that could could possibly need during your stay. The view is so tranquil & the property has a very calming effect.

This property is situated on a lovely place on Kiawah. It’s beautifully decorated and has a well stocked kitchen. Maxine, the owner, was so helpful in providing recommendations for dining, shopping and site seeing:) Sunrise and sunset are particularly beautiful viewed from the beachfront windows. Hope to visit again soon!!

The condo is lovely. There is plenty of space. The windows offer stunning beach views and lots of light. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are beautifully done, and the amount of storage space is amazing!! The walk to the beach is just two minutes. It was easy to reserve chairs and umbrellas that were set up right down the boardwalk nearest the condo. Maxine provided great detailed information about places to eat, things to do and see, where to rent bikes, and other important stuff to know. The bottle of wine left for us was a nice treat. The only issue, if you want to call it that, is that the listing says there is a pool. This is a bit misleading, as there is not a pool on site at the condo building. Maxine does provide access to a pool at her private club, which is a few miles away, but you won't conveniently be able to play at the beach and then get in the pool, at least not at the condo building. That issue aside, we had a great stay. We played on the beach every single day. The waves were gentle, the sand is pristine, and the people are friendly. Kiawah was a great getaway.

This was our first VRBO experience but won’t be our last! Maxine is an amazing host! Her property is beautiful and she has attended to every single detail to make your stay a perfect one. The views are amazing, the location perfect! All of her recommendations are spot on ...save yourself time and follow her restaurant recommendations. You won’t be disappointed!! This apartment/condo is beautiful, (the pictures online are genuine). It is very well furnished and is surprisingly spacious. It has all the appliances you will need and more crockery than I knew what to do with. Comfortable beds and plenty of linen and towels. Also, don't forget the bogie boards and beach games (all in the closet). This is "the place" to enjoy your vacation in Kiawah. Kiawah is a stunning location- the beach, the golf courses; the wildlife. All literally on your doorstep in 4464 Windswept. And lastly, Maxine (the owner) will provide you with a fantastic list of restaurants; supermarkets; bike rentals; cleaners....even babysitters on request. This is as good as holiday condo rentals gets.

We had a wonderful stay, the apartment is beautifully decorated and it's location cannot be beat. The condo has beautiful views of the ocean, and its right on the beach which made it very easy with our little ones. The kitchen has everything you could want and more stocked. We had a great time, and Maxine is an amazing resource for all things Kiawah.
