Our stay at Moustache Hostel Varanasi was amazing. The hostel is located at a walking distance from Assi Ghat so you can walk and sit at the Ghat anytime you want. Even Kashi Vishwanath Temple is also 30-35 minutes walking distance away from the hostel so if you love to walk it can also be covered on foot. Special mention to Yash as he hosted us really well. He was very friendly and helped us with the itinerary, planning a return journey, good food recommendations and also maintaining a good social vibe in the common area. Also he was very professional and did a great job at making guests comfortable. The rest of the staff was also good. They have an in-house cafeteria where you can try their cheese chilli sandwich which I loved.

The washroom was clean and hygienic but it was very compact but it didn't affect the experience much.

The chef was super friendly and the food was tasty. The sundeck would be a nice Place to hangout bit blasting music deters you from hanging out.

I am writing this in the middle of the night while i have to get up am 4 am for an early train. The music is blasting right outside the dorms. The signs that say „respect the other guests - no loud music after 10“ not more than mere decoration. Staff couldn’t care less. If you need some rest after a long day of travel or have to get out of varanasi early this hostel is not right for you. I was willing to look over the loud music during the day ( where there is also no need for ) but after realising that i will have to travel 8 hours without sleep i am getting angry more and more. The blatant disrespect for others puzzles me. They have a beautiful common area which would be nice to enjoy after long day in the crazy city that is Varanasi. They also have a rather good cafe with good food. Which you also cant enjoy because someone is blasting the music. I was also willing to give some stars for the friendly staff until i got so angry that they didn’t do anything. Upside is: Location is superb. Would be a quite safe haven for travelers in busy and loud varanasi. Upside 2: there are more Hostels and Hotels in Varanasi. Go somewhere else.

The property is good, a friends like staff and a very enriched experience

The fans on bedside, they are non-adjustable and the lights on bedside have the same prb. Directly on face and also non adjustable

I liked the dorms and the common area was a great place to meet and interact with new people from various parts of the country and outside. The staff was very helpful.

Food choices are a bit limited

it's nearby assi ghat. a little bit far away from varanasi main ghats. but it's clean and calm at night. host was friendly and nice. you can meet various travelers in this hostel. thank you :)

They do not mention that they have non ac hours for their AC dorms. Their in house pantry is unhygienic and too costly. I would try some other place on my next visit.
