The room was cleaned while we were out
There was not enough cutlery for us all there was 2 cups for the entire stay

Thr breakfast was fantastic, a great variety and beautifully cooked. The location on the esplanade is very handy and a nice walk to restaurants, shopping and beach pools.
Outdoor areas are ready for proactive maintenance.

Scaffolding was up in the reception area with painting in progress (encouraging that some work is commencing)
The entire property is run down.
Corridors, skirting boards, ceilings all in low repair.
Printed signs stuck with blu tac on each floor from February communications.
Breakfast restaurant lacked atmosphere, attention, love and walls had old drink spillage visible from tables.
Bar was manned only if you asked and it was very basic. Nothing to suggest you should stay in and have a few drinks.
Pool bar and seating still set up in the pool but the window to the actual bar was build in so no service.
Pool guests expected to get dry, leave the pool area, go to the bar, order, wait and then carry beverages back out to the pool area to enjoy.
Room was clean on the surface but very dirty under benches, in corners, under sinks etc
Lack of maintenance in grout, vents, access points falling off.

Staff were amazing from the first ‘hello’. From having the restaurant and bar, pool and towels and scooters to get everywhere! Everything was always nice and clean with the option to save money for not using house keeping! Once you have the continental breakfast, take the kids across the road to the playground and water park!
Concierge desk was never staffed to help book things advertised in the lobby.

was there for a function, function room was on 1st floor.
was not told in advance there were elevators not working.
was not told the stairs would not be accessible.
i am allergic to chlorine cleaners and the exterior of the building was being cleaned and i had an unpleasant time dealing with that locked away in my room as the smell was everywhere else in the hotel, until the smell went away in the evening.

The location is good & breakfast was enjoyable
The whole building is dated & scruffy. The bed & room were generally clean but needs a good deep clean. The ceiling lights were very dirty & the balcony needs a make over.
The common areas, lifts foyer etc all need a good deep clean. Everything felt uncared for.
The pool area & surrounding areas were very very untidy & once again showed a lack of care.
For tge price I felt the whole place was lacking.
All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful & friendly.

The view & location
The smoking allowed on the balcony, the toilet seat really needed replacing (the plastic on the seat was pealing), there also, was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The air-conditioner had no temperature control & there was no heating with 2 thin blankets in the wardrobe.

Pool facilities were run down. One of the pools near the tennis courts had not been cleaned in a long time.
Decking around large pool area needs a lot of maintenance and pool did not look clean. It wasn’t very family friendly either. Not a lot of levels for children to play in.

I was upgraded. which wa a lovely ☺️ but the room was weird, it was big but no lounge. the lighting isn’t great in the room. had a separate kids room. very strange.

Location
We had to change rooms on arrival due to poor condition of first room. Bathrooms are atrocious, the fact you have to stand in a bathtub with a shower curtain wrapped around is antiquated. We got stuck in a faulty lift, once the staff managed to get us out there was no apology or concern for welfare.
