Very stunning beautiful hotel.

Breakfast and dinner was very good, we liked the location.
We did not like our stay probably because it was a winter time. The matter is the hotel is made on the basis of an old Palace which is big and made of marbles. Obviously it is difficult for the property to heat the rooms in winter time. Moreover no hot water was available in the bathroom to warm up, it was not hot enough. Plus internet connection was not stable.

Hospitality was simply brilliant and we felt like being part of the family. We really loved the way the old original features were still kept alive and the imperfections were a warm welcome and lets the guest experience how it would have been many hundred years ago to having lived in these Havelis. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

The building itself and the room décoration are just amazing ! The personnel is really kind and always available. When arriving we really had the feeling to be waited ! In this Maharadjahs Palace you will have the honor To be served by Mr Khan Singh (direct "descendant" of the former Maharadjahs) at the restaurant (the room is really beatifull) ! !

Spectacular property, an experience in itself. Great food. Wonderful rooms. The staff were very helpful, without being overbearing.
Wifi simply doesn’t work.

absolutely fabulous heritage hotel. The service was beyond exceptional, the location and the building itself are just all magnificent and represented excellent value for money.
air-conditioning was a little bit noisy, but we appreciate that’s the first world problem. In fact was quite cool at night so with the room found it was fine without the Aircon on

The hotel has its beautiful charm. I had a great birthday staying there in Raj. Staffs are so friendly and happy and they know what they are doing and trying hard to service the customer. Breakfast is amazing that I was so full for whole day sightseeing.
Room service menu might be improved since nothing seems interesting enough for me.

Staff were extremely helpful. especially Prithivi, Sandeep and Khan Singh. The palace itself is a sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle of Jaipur.
Although the restaurant food was great. could do with healthier options on the menu.

- central location in Jaipur, from where to can easily reach the City Palace area in 10min or Amber Fort in 20-30min by car.
- hotel building is indeed a vast old palace building, through which you need to find your ways
- nice restaurant and friendly staff
- some of the interior is a dated, although is also adds to old palace feel

The staff was exceptional. It was my wife's birthday and the staff made a cake for her, brought it over after we finished dinner then sang for her. Very special treat! The breakfast was very good and the dinners were great.

The breakfast selection was very nice, and the room was beautiful and incredibly spacious. We felt utterly at home and loved walking the grounds during the night. The hotel is right in the centre of the city, so it's a great base to have when exploring the town. It was also quite empty during our stay, so we felt very well attended to.
We were thoroughly impressed by the diligent and caring staff at the Raj, especially Narendra, who worked in the coffee shop. We had some difficulty with a cab company, and Narendra, having overheard our conversation, went well beyond his role to ensure that our car arrived on time and that we were safe on our drive to our destination. He gave us his personal number, and told us to call if we ran into any trouble. He also spoke with our driver before our journey to confirm that we wouldn't be unwittingly taken to any shopping bazaars or pressed for more money on arrival. We both felt confident that Narendra would help us out if we ended up in any trouble, and we were very touched by his concern. He turned a miserable day into a positive experience, and we're very grateful.
There's markedly less security at the Raj than at other "luxury" hotels; our taxis weren't scanned for bombs or weapons, and the security gate was always slightly ajar. The absence of bag scanning machines and security staff was noticeable, and did leave us feeling a little vulnerable.
The area immediately outside the Raj isn't the best and is blanketed in tourist shops. There are lots of touts who'll approach you as soon as you enter or leave the hotel with offers to drink at a cafe or buy trinkets. Ignoring them is the best approach, but it can get tiresome.

we stayed here during the monsoon season. we didn’t see any other guests. This stunning Palace full of history, staff are amazing and make you feel like the Raj. Had breakfast and dinner in the hotel both days and food was amazing
The pool was dirty, we were told it was because of the heavy rain before we arrived. They should have closed it.
