It could be modernized a little

Location, breakfast, large room. Views from the windows. Silence. Good breakfast. It's very old high class hotel that never saw any upgrade.
Check in and check out takes really long time. Receptionist tried to charge for a coca cola from the room fridge, but when i told her that i've read complaints about it on booking she agreed that i didn't drink anything.

Great location
Super outdated. Check in shouldn’t have taken that long. Same with checkout…only one person doing checkout when it was busy.

old, smelly, staff rude

The staff was not related to the word politeness. The last day, they made me wait because they had to verify I hadn't consumed any of the drinks they offer in the room. I understood that, but they way they treated me was bad.

Nothing!
Even with COVID measures the blankets were not clean, found many long hairs on the bed. They changed my room and what was the surprise only the TV electric socket works to charge the phone. The manager was extremely rude! Behind my bed rest table was full uncovered electric cables. They want to see themselves has a retro hotel but in reality it is an old hotel that was not renovated. Also there is no Spa!

location in the city was good.
breakfast was the worst. Moldy bread, dangerous coffee pots. Booked for 3 nights but ended up leaving on the second day because this hotel is so horrible. Rooms were dirty and the hotel was in a bad state overall and very outdated.
Really recommend to not stay in this hotel if you visit Cochabamba.

The staff were incredibly kind, in particular the man on reception who offered to go to the pharmacy in the middle of the night for us when my partner was unwell. I am so sorry I didn’t catch your name but thank you! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were warm but had new AC systems for summer months. The hotel was clean and in a very central place (right beside the beautiful Plaza 14 de Septiembre) which made it easy to move around and get food at any time of the day.
The breakfast was a little lacklustre compared to other 4/5 star hotels but it was sufficient anyway. They had the essentials such as coffee, cereal, fruit, some breads and cheese/ham slices.
4.5
Very historic place with lots of patina, feels like living inside a museum. Ceiling has cracks and even some cement was coming down in the bathroom, which adds to the historic feel of the place. Equipment is a show, looks like luxurious technology from the early 70ties, some of the stuff is even working. Old light bulbs used, even the WiFi uses a historic security method (WEP). Friendly staff, good breakfast, all that in the very center of Cochabamba.
Best of all: the great view from over the city which is just timeless.
The TV was a flat screen, a tube TV would match the style of the room better.

internet didn’t work

comfortable bed and good water pressure in shower
staff made you feel unwelcome, our shower leaked, the wifi didn’t work, we were charged extra for drinks compared to what was shown on the menu, the staff booked us a taxi which o recharged us,

Excellent location in the city's center, comfortable bed, nice and helpful staff and good breakfast,
The hotel is quite run down, carpets aand some of the features are really old and would benefit with an upgrade.

Terrible...
First of all they had problems to find my reservation. Later, disagree with the price of the room and cancel my free breakfast guaranteed by booking.com and genius program.
During my stay, some persons from the personel were trying to get inside of my room. I had to scream to stop them. Like i live in the corridor!
Main light in the room was not working and i never had hot water in my bathroom.
Behind my materce i found many unsecured electric cables. Easy to die during sleep...
In one day i invite my friend to my room. When i was leaving, guy in reception ask me how was the sex and how much i paid!!!
They should have one star and be happy with it
4.6
The property was in a good location and good value for money
Past it’s best, a bit leaky and squeaky
