loved the attentiveness of the staff, the room and the saunas. great meal as well.

The location and room were quite nice. Considering, that we came for a wedding in the small village it was the perfect location to stay. The room is clean and of decent size. Breakfast offers a reasonable (but not too extended) variety of food/drinks and if the weather is great you can enjoy your time in the garden. Great effort to have the room ready before 3pm.

We stayed at the "Lösch für Freunde" which is already quite confusing to understand that it belongs to the hotel but at the same time is also separate. As we booked through booking.com no further details about arrival flow were provided. When arriving at the premises, we found the hotel to be empty. We ended up searching for staff roughly 10 minutes whilst walking around other buildings on the opposite side of the street - no signage or anything to help guests to understand what one should do. Eventually, we went back to the front door, where a door bell is located and a person told us via the speaker that we should walk over to the main hotel. Hence, we took all our belongings including two suitcases etc. and walked over to the main building - it's a cobblestone path and my partner was on heels ready for the wedding. As we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted and finished a very efficient check-in and were told to go all the way back to the other building. Of course, the staff apologised (half-hearted) and offered assistance, but who would ask a female associate to cary two heavy suitcases.. After roughly 25 minutes, we eventually arrived at our room - sweaty and ready for a shower. However, no time as we had to attend the wedding. No further explanation about room, facilities etc. We went back to the speaker at the door to ask about breakfast times. The next day, we went for breakfast - same story: not much talking no explanations and rather cold service from a young lady. Maybe it is because we were quite young too, but that's not an excuse. Asking for eggs twice whilst seeing other guest coming way after us and being served earlier was just the cherry on the cake. I ordered cheese omelette which was served unseasoned and without cheese. My question for salt/pepper was responded by: "Ok, then let me take some salt/pepper from other guest tables.." Our encounters with staff were rather unpromising for paying a 245 Euro rate.

All and everything was beyond expectations - it was the little surprises which made it an exceptional stay!
