I loved the delicious food and the location and view of the lake. I also liked that there were multiple pools with different tempratures. The gardening was also exceptional.

my personal pool was a little dirty and covered in debris. The pool water also seemed to go down overnight. food was delicious but I'd like for breakfast to be included in the room's price. I almost did't book here simply for not including breakfast.

The restaurant food and staff were quite good. The view from our lakeside room was the best in Ajicjic. However, the distance to the central plaza was not conducive to walking and it was very difficult to find taxis or ubers.

Safe not working, ac not working , patio door not locking. No coffee maker, no mini fridge, and no ice machine. The front desk was unsmiling and it took them a few days to actually become helpful.

The entire staff was excellent. They cleaned our room daily, provided clean towels and were very friendly. The pool area was well maintained and was an excellent place to relax. The location was great, and was within easy walking distance to the plaza and lake shore. My wife and a guest ate breakfast a few times at the hotel and she said it was delicious with a great choice. It was very quiet and we slept well. My wife slept in but I got up early to go on hikes, and we both felt very safe. The hotel is well managed, clean and well lit. We enjoyed our 6 day stay and definitely will do again.

Everything was very good and met or exceeded our expectations

The grounds were beautiful at this lovely old colonial property in a beautiful neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was advertised as free wi-fi on the whole property, but rarely worked. The rooms were large, but the beds were hard as a rock. The shower heads need cleaning as they sprayed everywhere but on you.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the lakeside view. Other than that amenities are just standard. Parking lot seem to have enough space.

Overall staff service is terrible. Specially those in the restaurant. Not only incompetent but rude. They forget orders, they take A LOT to get dishes served. Breakfast was inclued and still they charged it. There is no manager or supervisor, employees act on their own, they seem to be coluded to take advantage of guests. Rooms are tacky, they lack of basic items like coffee maker or hair dryer and shower water won't be hot but warm.

breakfast did not start early enough so I never had breakfast there even though I stayed a week, the window locks were broke in my room and you could hear TV and noise through the room walls

The staff was very nice. The pools were clean and refreshing. The beds were comfortable.The grounds were well cared for.

The poolside chaises had a lot of bird poop on them. The hotel needs an upgrade. For example the curtains in our room were difficult to open and close and they were in disrepair.

Breakfast was good. Drinks were good. Park-like setting on Lake Chapala was superb. Location was good with reasonable walking distance and access to Ajijic.

It’s not representative of a luxury resort: no fridge, coffee maker, mugs or drinking glasses, no room service, no hair dryer. Very tired and old decor. Black mildew all around shower. No English speaking hospitality/front desk staff. Piles of dirty towels left in hallway. Very dark room.

Room was hairy (a lot of hair that was not mine); on beds, floors, bathroom. The safe did not work. No refrigerator in room.

Best overview of Lake Chapala. Delicious Sunday morning brunch. And all staff is very attentive.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for years, but this year I had to rate them a little lower due to black mold in the showers. A little bleach is needed. I don’t know why the maids don’t take care of that daily. All the guests spend hours around the pool and on the poolside chairs….so why isn’t someone assigned to clean the bird crap off the chairs and the railings? Not acceptable!

The hotel was short staffed due to New Years and common areas were not properly cleaned and restaurant service was not at expected level.
