The guy showed up quickly when we called the number to check-in. He confirmed our booking right away and then showed us to the room. He also showed us the facilities including kitchen and the brekkie thoroughly. Very responsive when we called back to ask about parking. Free breakfast was more than adequate for us. If you need wifi prior to check-in, you can go to the indian restaurant next door.

At this pricepoint, no complaints

The hostel was available for a last minute booking and were able to accommodate our evening arrival. 10/10 We stayed in a private twin room which was ensuite, it was of a good size and more than adequate for the crash and dash purposes we were looking for. 9/10 This is a hostel, and at a fairly low price so we were not expecting the ritz, the sheets had been washed (although there was a small stain of ink at the foot of the bed - not where i was laying). The main space of the room clean, (windowsill and other non useable areas couldve used a wipe). 6/10 There was hot water in the shower, and a decent space in the ensuite, and no strange plumbing noises. Although the ensuite was a little tired and grubby around the edges 8/10 Breakfast was continental help yourself, perfect for our stay 9/10. The hostel manager was very polite and helpful 10/10. Overall a decent experience and would use again for the purposes of crash and dash.

There were areas of the room that could use a wipe. Personally being quite tall (6ft4) the bed and bedding was not quite long enough -not something that can usually be helped wherever i stay. The bathroom light took a few minutes to settle down, not a problem for me as such but if i was epileptic it would be a problem - felt like being in a rave room with strobe lighting for the first few minutes. Unfortunately our room was ground floor level, and outside the room was a taxi rank-and being a Saturday night it was not particularly quiet in the early hours, for a period of about 1-2 hours. (Again not the hostels fault as such)

Some items didn't work. Heater, tv, bedside light. But heater got fixed.

As a budget Hostel, the individual ensuite room was clean and comfortable. No frills but the breakfast of cereal, toast and yogurt was great. Great to meet very interesting travellers in the common canteen and share stories. Perfect for a budget stopover

No parking as advertised. Can park on the street if there's space. But need to move on by 8am Very noisy and creaky building.

Kitchen was good but the rest of the building was really appalling. No security or CCTV was in order. cleanliness was extremely poor. Really poor quality beds. Dirty towels were provided and host was very rude. Extremely unhelpful host Would never recommend to anyone even at a lower price. We had to book it on a short notice as we couldn't find elsewhere to stay for the night

We didn't like anything but only thing useful was the use of the kitchen.

The staff were friendly and helpful, there was a well-provisioned kitchen from which you could take anything for breakfast. The room was very basic but the bed was fairly comfortable and all I needed, very good value really

The lock to the bathroom in my dorm didn't work but the fan was loud enough you could always tell when someone was in there. Also the window didn't shut properly which wasn't too much of an issue but I imagine could be unpleasant at a different time of the year

Nice Hostel, a bit worn, but clean and comfortable. Self catering Kitchen is well equipped, free breakfast items available all day. Right in city centre.

For a hostel it was quite good. Basic breakfast but for the price it was good value.

Shower was a bit tatty

Breakfast was included which was an unexpected bonus but it was not very unorganised. Everything - jams, butter and bread being very, very tightly crammed into the fridge for you to help yourself.

The man on the reception was abrupt and not very friendly but then that made him into a kind of character and it would be boring if everyone was the same.

Spacious rooms, James was really accomdating for extras after check

Only 1 pillow each on the bed.. wished we stayed more than 1 night
