Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums und deswegen vergleichsweise ruhig und etwas besser als die anderen großen Hotels. Man merkt, dass es privat geführt (wurde?) wird , viele nette Ecken mit Pflanzen und Fotos auf den Gängen. Das Restaurant als eines der besten in der Stadt hat seine Erwartungen erfüllt.

Die Zimmer liegen leider alle an Durchgängen und Türen und Fenster schließen nicht wirklich gut. Betten wackelten und quietschten. Das Personal im Restaurant könnte ein bisschen freundlicher sein!

The room was clean and spacious. The drinks and snacks in the mini fridge were free. They provided fresh fruit upon arrival and one other day. It was nice having a little patio to look out upon, but it was small and we didn't use it. Also, the architecture and the history of the building was very interesting. It added an elegant and mysterious touch.

I didn't like that breakfast wasn't included. There was a restaurant on site, but it was a bit on the expensive side. We ate there for dinner one night and it was wonderful, but I'd prefer not to splurge on breakfast. The bathroom also needed to have more counter space.

Spectacular stay at this jewel in the heart of San Jose. I stayed in 3 rooms across 8 days in between travels around Costa Rica, and felt incredibly happy with all of them. Great food, lovely restaurant, and warm hospitality is tops!

Beautiful hotel and restaurant in close proximity to the airport - which made it the perfect spot for us the night before our flight. The hotel is beautifully decorated and feels serene amongst the hustle and bustle of San Jose. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are decorated to a high spec and super clean.

beautiful building just outside of the main downtown area although it is in walking distance. excellent food!

Beautiful hotel, the food was really good both for dinner and breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive to my special request (honeymoon). Free parking included, there was even people waiting for us with umbrellas as it was raining when we arrived. I can't speak about the location as we didn't go out that much due to the weather. It took us about 15min drive from the airport to reach the hotel. We couldn't use the rooftop jacuzzi but the terrasse is beautiful. Totally recommend this hotel!

If I really have to find something, I would say the isolation could be a bit better. Maybe it was because our room was near the elevator so there was quite some traffic, but we could hear very clearly people talking in front of our door. It didn't held us back from sleeping but the first time it was a bit confusing because it was almost like people were with us in the room.

Very unique hotel that makes you feel the comforts of home while away. Excellent staff that catered to every need. Beautiful decor and love all the plants and flowers.

Lots of stairs depending what room you have. Wish there had been a pool. Being from America, I wish the TV’s had English closed caption.

The hotel has a real traditional feeling to it with beautiful courtyards. It's conveniently located in the centre of San Jose. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel as we were just transferring through San Jose and the food on both occasions was excellent.
