The room was modern, with a huge bath and separate shower, a safe, television, coffee machine (without instructions), large comfortable bed, and efficient air-conditioning.
We were surprised to read the glowing reviews of the breakfast, which we considered adequate. In the past 12 months we have been to establishments of similar size - two in England, two in France - where the breakfasts were outstanding and with personal service.
The owners had tried to contact us before we arrived - by ringing our home telephone, which we were obviously unable to answer as we were in France. They didn't try to contact us by email or through Booking.com so it was pure luck that one of the owners turned up a couple of minutes after we arrived and opened the electric gate.
The owners have a young family and so didn't have a great deal of time to spend with the guests, but were friendly enough when we saw them.

Fabulous grand chateau located just over a mile from the town.
The owner communicated with us via text giving us the PIN for the gates and details of our room.
Inside was nicely decorated, it was modern and clean.
Breakfast was included and consisted of lovely fresh bread and croissants
There was a stocked mini bar in the room but a complimentary bottle of water would have been appreciated

This is a lovely privately owned well maintained chateau offering limited accommodation of a high standard (about 4 rooms).
Our room was nicely presented and comfortable. The bathroom facilities worked well. Gisors made a good base for visiting Monet's garden and house at Giverny, The included breakfast was plentiful and of a high standard.
Access information was only sent on the day of our arrival and we were not aware of this before our arrival. Fortunately we were able to contact the owner/management by phone and gained access to our room after 10 anxious minutes wait.
Perhaps many guests may have access to e-mails whilst travelling, but in my case I only had this the evening before arrival as I was relying on over-night e-mail access.

Beautiful place, overlooking Gisors. Very clean and well-kept

Fantastic facilities, fantastic, kind staff, fantastic breakfast. All in all, couldn't ask for more.

Breakfast was very good, but see comment below. The room was very large, comfortable and well equipped. The fittings were exceptionally good. There was a little traffic noise, but not much and not very close. The rural setting was very nice indeed. We booked for one night, but decided to stay a second night.
If we had been able to book a decent hotel in town (Gisors) we would have done so. A hotel that does not serve dinner driving distance from the town is not the idea option. The other point is very small but important to us. We don't like the instant coffee machines that now seem popular in French hotels. One of the things we value about France is the quality of the real (ground) coffee, so coffee from a plastic widget does not cut it. We also do not like UHT milk, so we bought our own fresh whole milk and used that. Those who like UHT milk will not see a problem. Also there was no dressing table and mirror and no chest of drawers, although the room was capacious.

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Gisors, about 1.6km into the centre.
Rooms were very clean and looked like they had just been decorated with new furniture/beds etc.
Nothing really. There was no air-conditioning so room was quite warm

Breathtaking beautiful. Rooms and bathrooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
Would have liked a full length mirror as we were attending a wedding and needed to check our full outfits. A top sheet for the bed would have been nice as it was too hot for the duvet.

Very nice continental breakfast with a basket of fresh patisseries and bread, ham and cheese. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the house and gardens are lovely.

In the countryside, green area, big room, very comfortable, modern bathroom, nice breakfast area with garden view, good communication with hosts.
Second floor rooms, no elevator, lot of flies during autumn (due to horse stables nearby).

No common area/sitting room

Breakfast and location were good. The setting is fun, a big country house in the middle of nowhere. Not all of the rooms have a view if I remember correctly.
The manager of this B&B was not very helpful at first, as we arrived before the rooms were made. But we needed a place to change before going off to lunch, so in the end she did let us in. It was a long way up the stairs to the rooms and no offer to help with the bags...
