This is a unique alternative to the usual hotel . Staying as guests in someone’s house being almost part of the family! Gilles and Michael go out of their way to make you feel at home.

I can’t say anything negative about the property; everything was delightful.

The breakfast is exceptional. Everything is super fresh.The breakfast room is breathtaking and the hosts are available for all requests. When people talk about "next level", this is what it is!

We should have stayed longer

This hotel is amazing. My husband and I wish we had been able to stay longer! From the moment I stepped foot on the property it was like a fairytale with a warm welcome from the hosts and a cute kitty sitting by the window. The home is historic but renovated to perfection. The decor was whimsical and perfect and the breakfast was delicious. If you’re looking for a traditional “American” stay with all of the modern amenities and a large cooked breakfast, this might now be for you. BUT if you are wanting a completely unique, totally decadent, and warm French welcome - this is the place for you. Our bathroom was particularly spacious and we enjoyed all of the grounds on the property including a music room and the wonderful garden. The location is perfect. You are close to the sights and it is a good base for any WWII touring. The house is right in the middle of everything but still feels like a quiet oasis. It is a five minute walk away from numerous delicious restaurants including la rapiere and l’alchimie. We hope to return some day!!!

Our hosts were absolutely lovely, charming, helpful and very French! The first day breakfast was amazing. The rooms were spacious and the gardens magnificent. The location was great, walking distance to everything.

Superb location in the heart of Bayeux - but very quiet and peaceful. Gilles and Michael were wonderful hosts and they simply couldn't do any more to make us feel welcomed and valued. Excellent breakfast. Entering the buildings felt like stepping back in time a couple of centuries or more, yet the facilities were ultra- modern.

Michael and Gilles were very welcoming. The breakfasts were great, the two rooms in the suite and the shower were very spacious. There was a lovely rooftop view of Bayeux from the main room, which included the lit up tower of Bayeux cathedral. Would definitely stay there again if ever in Bayeux.

The clos is like a little palace inside the city center of Bayeux. the owners have put a lot of dedications into the decoration of the house. They are very hospitable and the breakfast is top! the gardens are well maintained and ideal to relax.

Beautiful charming spacious home. Gorgeous property and courtyard. We had a beautifully decorated large bedroom with new ensuite. Delicious breakfast served to us in the morning. Wonderful friendly hosts. Very conveniently located in town just off of the Main Street on a quiet street. Close to lovely shops and restaurants.

Delicious French breakfast with toasts, jam , tarts. cheese and ham. The hotel is in a perfect location set in the heart of Bayeux. It has a lovely garden and decorated in an eclectic mix of French art nouveau and tradition. Michael and Gilles were perfect hosts and helped us with all our luggage to the top of the house up a stone staircase. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for charm and convenience.

Gilles & Michel were super friendly and accommodating. They have done an excellent job in renovating this former home into a B&B: from the beautiful gardens surrounding the house, to the furnishings in the house and bedroom and to the wonderful breakfast we had each morning. The hidden, free parking behind the house was a plus too!

Breakfast was wonderful and well presented.
