the price on booking.com for one night was $143 but on checking my bank statement I noticed I was charged $159 with no explanation. I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing but will like to know why I'm paying more.

The location was OK. The room was small, but OK for one person and reasonably priced. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The shower was on one side of the room and the toilet and basin was on the other side of the room.

Location was good for our needs, a "milestone" birthday a few suburbs away. We liked our meal at the pub Bistro one night - Vietnamese. Room was a good size, bathroom a little compact (but we are heavy folk). Accommodation area was locked from the general pub area, and there was a seperate entrance from street as well. We thought that was good security. Bar staff were great, several times we asked for a jug of ice to have in our room - this was never a problem. Check in was friendly and pleasant too, staff took great care to explain the layout and doors, locks etc.

On a warm humid weekend, our air conditioner barely coped. We cleaned the air con filters (they were dire, which has always been our experience anywhere). However, there was no miracle improvement in performance in this case.

We traveled a long way for a family emergency, asked to check in a bit early because we were tired and weary travelers, Mick was extremely kind and accommodating. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The guided tour to our room by Alan was great. Clean and comfortable room. Mick had good local knowledge and was very helpful. Bed was warm and soft, bathroom clean, and functional. Enjoyed a drink in the bar watching the Wednesday night darts comp with some nostalgic music. Definitely recommend +++

Just a shame this was on a busy road. Absolutely no fault of the owners or managers.

Strong smell of smoke in the hotel corridors and room. The access through the back door to the parking lot doesn't open on time in the mornings.
